Suzuki GSX / Katana description

Very clean female and adult owned bike. Always garaged, covered and tendered. Serviced within last 500 miles (oil change/ filter, chain adjustment, spark plugs changed, air filter, carbs). Never been down, but she leaned it against the garage wall so there is a scratch on the left Katana emblem, but you cannot see it so we didn't replace it. Zero gravity screen, tank bra, custom cover, hooked up for battery tender. Tires, chain and sprockets are in good shape. Fork seals done in 2015. She keeps it waxed, polished and ready to go. No cracks in any of the plastics. Very solid bike that will go for many more miles. Rode it today for 75 miles. (listed locally so auction may end in that case)

Suzuki Motor of America announced a recall on the 2014 V-Strom 650 ABS because of a problem with the drive chain. As of this writing, the recall campaign has not been posted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, but we expect this to be done shortly. Meanwhile north of the border, a similar recall has been announced for the 2014 Suzuki GSX650FA by Transport Canada describing a similar problem.

Old boys up front and where are the new 600 Gixers?

Mon, 28 Feb 2011

As I’ve been gagging for the new race season to kick off so it was almost a pleasure getting up at stupid 0 clock to watch the World Superbike Championship  opener at Phillip Island last weekend. I have to say Messrs Burnicle and Whitham were on form although I was disappointed there were none of the usual verbal attacks on each other that always add to the entertainment.    I’m sure they will put things right soon but the world superbike regulars must have been disheartened that Moto GP veterans nailed five of the six available rostrum slots.

Suzuki Confirms MotoGP Departure – Hope of 2014 Return

Fri, 18 Nov 2011

As expected, Suzuki has officially announced its withdrawal from MotoGP racing, though the Japanese manufacturer says it plans to return to the world championship in 2014. Suzuki cites the recession, the value of the Japanese Yen and a series of natural disasters as reasons for suspending its MotoGP program for at least two years. Reports of Suzuki’s withdrawal began circulating earlier this week with some staff members reportedly receiving notice late last week, but signs of Suzuki’s impending withdrawal have been around for over a year.
