For Sale: 1976 KZ900 A-4 Z1 in amazing shape with 19k original miles. It has tons of new parts and lots of stuff to go with it. I will describe some of the work that has been done but I'll let the pictures do most of the talking. It has new Dyna coils and Dyna electronic ignition with 8mm wires. It has fresh black paint (1 mo old, harley vivid black). New nos front rotor and pads. New tires. New battery. New gaskets all around except valve cover. New bars, grips, mirrors and led signals with solid state flasher. Carbs have been completely gone through and synced. Tank was slimed but poorly, I put a new petcock on and gas cap seal also. I also have all the parts I have removed and tons of gaskets and seals to go with. There is tons more and I could go on and on but I would rather answer specific questions if you still have any. Sold as is, deposit will be required, item is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early if it sells, buyer is responsible for pickup or shipping arrangements. Tue, 29 May 2012Marco Melandri earned BMW its second ever World Superbike victory to move into second place in the championship standings behind Max Biaggi in the series’ only stop in the United States. Melandri won a red-flagged Race Two at Utah’s Miller Motorsports Park after finishing second to defending WSBK Champion Carlos Checa in Race One to give him 142.5 points on the season, tied with Kawasaki‘s Tom Sykes but behind Aprilia‘s Biaggi who leads the way with 160.5 points. New: Venhill 888 fast-action twistgrips
Fri, 01 Mar 2013CONTROL specialist Venhill has launched its new 888 range of bike-specific fast action twistgrips. Supplied complete with the company's top of the range Featherlight cables, the kits are designed for a straightforward replacement of the factory-fitted equipment. Bike-specific kits are now available for the Honda CBR600F, Kawasaki ZX-6R/ZX-10R, Suzuki GSX-R600/750, Triumph 675 Daytona and Yamaha R1/R6, among others, with prices from £105. Here's Venhill's description of the new product: "Manufactured with a robust CNC machined alloy body, the 888 fast action twistgrip provides a choice of two settings and is supplied with two rotors so that riders can select the throttle action that best suits the riding conditions. Settings can be changed swiftly by undoing the two set screws securing the throttle body and changing the rotor. On the fastest setting there is 80° of rotation, (taking up 36mm of the cable), which is typically 45% faster than 'standard' throttles.
Results From Day 2 Of World Supersport Testing At Phillip Island
Tue, 18 Feb 2014If there’s one constant when it comes to World Supersport racing, it’s that Kenan Sofuoglu will be at or near the front at all times. The former champ has a special ability when it comes to lapping middleweight sportbikes as quickly as possible, and it showed again at the conclusion of World Supersport testing at Phillip Island. Sofuoglu’s best time of 1:33.506 was set during the first day of testing, but still nobody was able to beat it.
