Honda Mini Trail Z50A K1 – Late 1969 early 1970 bike registered as 1970
This bike has been completed restored by one of, if not the preeminent Honda Mini Trail craftsman, Jan Sven-Erik Harde. You can visit his web site here and see some of his other restorations - http://mini-cooper1.com/
No after market or Chinese knock off parts were used in this restoration. Every part on this bike was either a refinished original part to factory specifications or was removed from a factory Honda NOS plastic bag and installed.
Highlights of this show quality restoration;
Original current black and yellow California plated street legal bike.
Every nut, bolt and screw has either been plated, or replaced with a Honda NOS part then installed in the correct point on the bike all the way down to the cable routing and wire harness
No zip ties were used as fasteners as the correct metal Honda factory straps where used to factory specifications
Correct factory issued tires & tubes
NOS factory Honda wheels- not repainted.
Correct Honda grips
Correct NOS Honda grey cables, not black after market replacements
Levers are powdered coated black to match factory black plastic levers (Factory levers were not used as they break off)
Correct NOS Japanese green case-red top battery used
All the original chrome parts that were not replaced with NOS parts were triple chrome plated.
The gas tank was acid etched and boiled out, then bead blasted inside. This was followed up with an interior treatment and coating to prevent future rust from developing.
The frame and forks were bead blasted and checked for cracks and welded as necessary and then powder coated to match the original factory Honda color
Original NOS Honda factory seat
Shifter was chromed
The Gas cap used was current Honda stock. I have the original gas cap that is in very good condition, but it needs re-chroming.
The aluminum on the following items was mirror polished: hubs, valve cover, upper triple clamp and left side case
Completely rebuilt motor as follows: New valves, springs, piston, wrist pins, rings with .025 over–bore, points, condenser, all new factory Honda gaskets and seals. New factory Honda clutch. Motor repainted to stock Honda factory specifications
Some of the New Old Stock factory Honda parts removed from original packaging and installed were as follows - handle bars, handle bar knobs, brake levers, grips, Hi/Lo switch, ignition switch, all rubber on the entire bike, all fasteners and clips, both fenders, front and rear brakes, both wheels, gas tank valve, gas lines, air filter, air filter housing, reflectors, chain guard, tool kit under seat, tank emblems and headlamp badge.
Serious buyers only. Over $5,000.00 was invested into this bike.
Payment can be as follows:
Cash in person.
