Honda Sport Touring description

Bike belonged to my uncle for ten years until I transferred the title to myself. I'm not sure of the exact mileage so I estimated 30,000. I think it should be around 26-27000.

Has a very, very powerful engine. Has torque at any speed. I've been doing 80mph and cranked it and the bike just takes off. Smooth ride. Oil has been changed regularly and currently has Royal Purple in it. Gets around 45mpg on the interstate. Has two large, spacious "saddlebags" (side cases). Some scratches on the plastic side bumpers where the bike was lightly laid down when the rider's footing wasn't strong enough to hold up the bike.

Bike has been well maintained and kept out of the elements. Battery is currently on a charger. Valves/timing need to be adjusted as they were off last year. Hasn't been started in a few months as it is due for yearly maintenance.

I haven't ridden it because I've been out of the country with work, and that's why I want to get rid of it. I'm not home long enough to justify keeping and maintaining it. I just want to get rid of it before I ship out at the end of the month. I want one less thing to worry about while I'm gone.

I don't do "shipping". Arrange a local pick-up or we can meet somewhere on Interstate 10 (Tanger Mall, Mall of Louisiana, any Waffle House or Starbucks on the way). I prefer Paypal, US Postal Office Money Order, Cashier's Check, or straight cash.

Will the road-going RCV look like this?

Thu, 25 Oct 2012

Honda announced in a dry-as-you-like press release that a new bike was coming.  Not another motorcycle-cum-medical aid like the DN-01 or Integra, this is going to be a proper bike. A bike in a similar vein to previous bikes in the RC series, the RC30, RC45 and RC51, aimed squarely at winning races. So what's it going to look like?

Looking for a CBR250R or K1600GTL Forum?

Thu, 07 Apr 2011

Every year in the motorcycling world there are a few new motorcycles that gather the collective interest of enthusiasts across the country. This year those two models included the new entry-level sportbike from Honda, the CBR250R, and the new luxo-touring bike from BMW, the K1600GT and K1600GTL. While enthusiasts are gearing up for delivery of their new bikes there is a place for them to enthusiastically discuss their new purchase, or perhaps, for those who have not yet purchased, a sounding board for their thoughts.

AMA Supercross: 2012 Anaheim I Results

Mon, 09 Jan 2012

Ryan Villopoto picked up where he left off while Ryan Dungey gave KTM its first ever AMA Supercross podium as the season kicked off in Anaheim, Calif. Reigning champion and Monster Energy Kawasaki rider Villopoto took the holeshot and led all 20 laps to win the Anaheim I season opener by over 12 seconds ahead of Chad Reed‘s TwoTwo Motorsports Honda. “Villopoto made us look silly out here tonight,” says Reed.
