Honda QA50 description

No Reserve!!!!
1970 Honda QA 50
Bought this bike in spring from the original owner.
He replaced the motor with a Honda C100 motor out of a scooter in 75' to give it more speed and easier to get cheaper parts at that time.
Welds look great. Looks like factory.
Runs great! Idles great!
2 speed.

Since I got the bike I,
- Flushed the gas tank
- Cleaned the petcock
- Rebuilt the carb (chemical boil, new gaskets)
- New fuel line with fuel filter

Kick starter sheared off.
It is the easiest push start I've ever had. Click it in gear, push it a couple feet and it starts.

Could use tires. Rear goes flat after a couple days.
Couple rips in original seat.
Slight tweak on the bars.

All around a solid trail bike that his torque in the low gear and speed in 2nd gear.

Running out of room for all my bikes so this one is on the block.

For sale locally so reserve the right to end the auction if it sells before the auction end time.

Thanks!!

Pit Biking; good clean fun for all the family

Wed, 01 Feb 2012

If you haven’t tried Pit Biking yet, you’re missing out on some incredible fun, and it won’t break the bank. The majority of pit bikes are of Chinese origin and I guess, are best described as modern day monkey bikes. Yes Chinese, and I’ve witnessed them being thrashed round all day long without missing a beat, so Jonny Wong and co. are finally getting there on quality and reliability!  Although Pit Bikes are designed for off road use, an extra few hundred quid spent on matching up wheels, fitting tarmac tyres and some crash protection will mean you’re track ready for a total of around £600.

Simon and Leo

Thu, 11 Aug 2011

If you are a track day regular this year, you may well have bumped into former racer and friendly Kiwi, Simon Crafar. I first met him in Malaysia in 1990 when he was riding for a Yamaha dealer team, sweating his way round circuits like Shah Alam and Johor Bahru but with a long term plan to make it onto the World scene. And he didn’t take long as after riding for Honda in the UK in 1992 he moved to WSB in 1994 and enjoyed success with both the Honda and Kawasaki factory teams.

2012 Honda CBR1000RR First Ride

Fri, 16 Dec 2011

First some bad news: the new 2012 Honda CBR1000RR doesn’t come with traction control. The good news: It doesn’t matter. It’s still an absolute blast to ride.
