Honda Nighthawk description

You don't see many of these anymore - here is a nice older Honda in good running condition. I have had the bike for 7 years. It has never given me any trouble and is a blast to ride. Not too heavy or tall, accessible to many newer riders. I have kept up on all maintenance since I got the bike, never missed an oil change, kept everything clean and lubricated. Everything works as it should: lights, horn, turn signals, brakes. It starts right up each time. It does not burn oil or leak. The mileage is 27,9xx and may go up a bit as I ride it in to work a few miles here and there. Some details: New tires front and back with less than 1000 miles Upgraded sealed gel cell battery K&N air filter Oil changed 1 month ago Includes Honda shop manual, new spark plugs and new oil filter Some minor stuff you may want to address: The header exhaust paint is peeling off. It does not affect performance but if I were keeping the bike for a while I would repaint them. One of the side covers is missing a grommet. It still stays on fine though. There are some scuffs and scratches and paint wear here and there, but overall very clean for a 30 year old bike. Clean and clear title. If you haven't already I recommend you do some research about these bikes online - they're fantastic machines. I will help your shipper load if necessary, but the rest is up to you. If you need shipping quotes I recommend uship. I have used them before and had good experiences. Thanks for reading. Email with questions.

A Weighty Issue

Mon, 03 Nov 2008

For as long as I can remember, motorcycle manufacturers have been playing fast and loose with regard to what they claim for the weight of their bikes. The “dry weights” they foisted upon us had little basis in reality. The “dry” part of that claim meant that listed weights on a spec chart were the result of all fluids being MIA from the bike, including necessities like engine oil, coolant and fork fluid (not to mention fuel), but even that didn’t fully explain the overly optimistic specs.

2010 Honda V4 Teaser [video]

Tue, 25 Aug 2009

Based on the concept model unveiled last October at Intermot 2008, the new motorcycle is expected to be a sport-tourer powered by a 1200cc V-4 engine with variable cylinder technology which can allow it to run on only two cylinders to conserve fuel.  There are also rumors that the motorcycle will have a semi-auto gear box which will give the rider the option of going manual or automatic. Honda has a dedicated website for the V4 where you can enter for a chance to win a spot to be one of the first to test drive the new bike, unfortunately, the contest is only open to Europeans. Hit the jump to see the new promo video (you can hear what the motorcycle sounds like!) and an interview with design project leader, Teofilo Plaza.

2014 WSBK – Donington Results

Mon, 26 May 2014

Tom Sykes and Loris Baz captured a pair of one-two finishes for Kawasaki at England’s Donington Park. The first race saw the reigning World Superbike champion fight his way up from 11th place for the win while Race 2 offered a three-way battle between the two Kawasaki riders and Aprilia‘s Sylvain Guintoli. Race One #493744055 / gettyimages.com Normally a strong starter, Sykes had a nearly disastrous beginning in Race One, while up front, Suzuki‘s Alex Lowes battled with Guintoli and Baz.
