Honda MT125 description

Up for sale is this nice vintage 1976 Honda Elsinore. It is an MT125. As you can see from the pictures it is in pretty good shape for a 40 year old dirt bike. The bike runs strong but could probably use a carb cleaning. I really don't ride it much anymore and it sits sometimes for weeks without being started. Still starts on the first or second kick every time though. Great little runner! Hate to part with it but I have other plans for new toys. There is a small 1/2" tear in the seat and a few small dents in the tank. The original petcock leaks a little if you turn it off so I just leave it on and added a cheap on/off valve and it works fine. There is a small amount of chrome pitting here and there on the rims. Very light though. Headlight ring has a dent in it also. Tires are decent yet with some life remaining. Exhaust is good with no holes. Comes with a clear title and one original key. Bike will need to be picked up in Findlay, Ohio. If the buyer would like to ship it that is fine but will be handled completely by the new owner. As you might imagine I cannot guarantee the bike since it is 40 years old but it has been a great bike for me with no major issues. A $200.00 dollar NON-REFUNDABLE deposit will be due within 24 hours of the auction close. The remainder in cash upon pick-up.

NOTE: The bike will need to be picked at the latest by July 7th (evening) as I will be unavailable after that until July 17th. If you are unable to pick the bike up by the 7th it will need to wait until after the 17th when I return.

Report: Dorna to Replace Superstock Classes with More Stock-Inspired WSBK and New 250cc Class

Mon, 07 Jan 2013

The coming World Superbike racing season may be the last to feature Superstock classes as series promoter Dorna tries to differentiate its WSBK and MotoGP properties. According to Italian outlet Motosprint, Dorna plans to rewrite the World Superbike and Supersport class rulebooks for the 2014 season to make the race bikes closer to their respective production models. This would create further separation between WSBK and MotoGP, with Superbike racing moving closer to its production-based roots while prototypes racing in the GP series.

SAM Christmas has been a professional photographer for the last 3 years and is the man behind Natural Habitats, a collection of photos covering the growing UK custom scene, showing bikes and their builders at home.    Sam's clients include the likes of Honda, Dainese, Google, Polo Jeans and Edwin denim but Natural Habitats is a personal project that took one and a half years to complete. I got to meet Sam when the exhibition opened in Shoreditch on Thursday evening.
