Honda CBX description

1979 Honda CBX.

This is a 37 year old bike that was enjoyed for 57000 kilometers. (35300 miles)   The paint looks very good but there are some flaws with the most noticeable being a small dent and touch up on the top right of the tank. The front fender and tail section are damage free but the paint does have some minor scuffs. The seat has been recovered and exhaust has been drilled and patched.  I have only ridden this about 15 miles and it runs very well pulls strong and shifts smooth. Brakes although touchy work fine and the clutch has the usual rattle. All lights and horn work. A very clean bike that can be enjoyed as is or taken to the next level if that's what you desire.

Payment. A non refundable 500.00 deposit via paypal within 24 hours of the auction ending and the rest via a bank to bank wire transfer if you are planning to ship or if you prefer in cash upon pick up.

I want to be clear that this bike is being sold as is and where is, which is in southern Ontario Canada. It has a clean title (Ontario ownership) and I will supply the sellers package which shows prior owners. If you are able to view in person before bidding  please do, if not then I will answer any questions you have, providing I know the answer.

Please see 2 youtube videos showing bike running, driving

 Please read the following.

Please do not bid if you have no intention of following through with the transaction. This bike is in Ontario Canada  and if you are in Europe its going to cost money to ship it to you. If you are in the USA its going to cost money to have shipped to you. Unless you are in the Toronto area its going to cost you to have it delivered to your garage.

I have received a few questions regarding importing this bike into the USA. I do have an Ontario Ownership (title) in my name. Once payment is made I sign it over to you.

As far as importing you will need the ownership along with a bill of sale. I searched the US customs site and since the bike is greater than 25 years old it does not need to meet the DOT or EPA standards. Please search the US government site if additional information is needed.    https://help.cbp.gov/app/answers/detail/a_id/278/related/1/~/permanently-importing-a-motorcycle

More info, Since cash in hand talks, I also have this listed this locally and reserve the right to end this auction if it sells before a bid is placed.   Once bid is placed the auction will run until the end.

Thank you

A Spectacular Isle Of Man TT Lap With Michael Dunlop + Video

Fri, 21 Mar 2014

The internet is full of videos from the Isle of Man, but if you ask me, this ranks up there as one of the best I’ve seen. Michael Dunlop, who took four wins in last year’s TT, has a hard-charging style that’s exciting to watch. He leaves nothing on the table, and as we see in this on-board video, he’s practically unbeatable when he’s at the top of his game.

Honda Gold Wing Brake Recall – Round 2

Tue, 09 Sep 2014

While Honda has never seemed like a company to follow the old saw “We do it right because we do it twice,” the company has just announced a second recall of 126,000 GL 1800 and GL 1800A models to address a dragging rear brake problem that is serious enough to potentially cause a fire. We feel comfortable saying that this is certainly not the type of heated seats Gold Wing riders would want to have. The affected models come from a variety of years.
