Harley-Davidson Touring description

08 Harley Davidson FLHRSE4 Screamin' Eagle Road King 110" 6 Speed *Damaged / Repairable* Fix & Save BIG $$!

This bike has an Oregon "salvage" Certificate of Title due to existing damages described & shown in pictures below.  If your state has extra requirements for transfer of salvage titles that you'd rather not deal with, I can have the title transferred to a regular Oregon title branded "reconstructed" if you pay the fee.  Just let me know asap so we can get that process underway immediately after you purchase the bike.

DETAILS & ITEMIZED DAMAGE LIST:

This bike was  involved in an accident and sustained the majority of damages to the front fender.  Damages to the bike are mainly cosmetic and there is no structural, frame, fork, engine or transmission damage visible.  Bike starts, runs & drives in current condition.

Key & factory HD security proximity fob are included.

The following parts have been effected as a direct result of the incident that resulted in the insurance claim.  This means that they will either need to be repaired or replaced for the bike to return to "pre-incident" condition.  If & how that is done is solely up to the buyer.  They include, but are not necessarily limited to:
  • Front fender, headlight ring, headlight (scratches), fork slider covers, front engine guard (missing), handlebar clamp cover, right front floor board, rt. exhaust heat shield, tank (scuffs/scratches/chips), outer primary cover (rashed underside, no leaks), seat (blemish), left mirror.
  • No visible frame/fork damage aside from anything mentioned above.

See pictures below for details and email me directly with questions or for phone number if you prefer.  I can assist with shipping but costs depend on your location and time frame (please do your homework prior to bidding).  I can help overseas buyers get the bike to preferred ports within US as well as required paperwork etc.,  Bike may also be picked up or purchased locally.  If you would like to look at the bike, just email me and we can set up a time to do so.  Very conservative reserve compared to most salvage dealer offerings I've seen here...  My intent is to sell, I almost never relist bikes.  Offers welcome.  Thanks for looking!

****Note:  I ask that nobody bids on my listing for entertainment purposes.  If you end up winning this auction & do not follow through with transaction I will expect some compensation for wasting my time.  If you do not intend to pay compensation due to failure of completing transaction I can assure you that you will be impressed with the efforts that are made to collect.  In other words, bidding is for buyers.

Harley-Davdison Museum Opens Tsunami Motorcycle Exhibit

Wed, 24 Oct 2012

From Miyagi Prefecture in Japan to Graham Island in British Columbia, Canada, to Milwaukee, Wis., the motorcycle tossed across the Pacific Ocean by the 2011 Japanese tsunami has landed at the Harley-Davidson Museum. The 2004 Harley-Davidson Softail Night Train owned by earthquake and tsunami survivor Ikuo Yokoyama is now on display at the museum as a memorial to those affected by the March 2011 tsunami. The motorcycle will be preserved in the condition it was in when Canadian beachcomber Peter Mark found it inside a cargo box that washed up on Graham Island in May.
