Harley-Davidson Touring description

1999 FLTRI Road Glide, was my orginal demo in 1999, sold it, customer crashed it. I bought it back from the insurance company, rebuilt it with OEM frame, correct VIN number.  When I rebuilt it I put a 2001 and later swing arm on it with the new sealed ball bearing rear wheel, and stiffer rear swing arm, I also installed progressive suspension shock on it... the bike had just over 10,000 when it was crashed, after I rebuilt it I put about 22000 miles on it. during the 12 years I rode this bike I had it set up for long distance riding with auxiliary lights, GPS, radar detector, and integration wiring harness for all the gadgets.  the wire harness is all there but has been slightly modified to adapt all the lights and gadgets....   This bike can be recreated into any FLHT, FLT, FLHR, version from here...

When I rebuilt it I had installed mild gear driven cams, (no cam chain issues here) and a H-D 1550 (95") big bore kit, with it I put in the higher pressure relief valve in the EFI circuit, and it ran flawlessly.

I had a side car mounted to it for a summer and when I did that I had installed a reverse Gear kit... you may be able to see the extra lever on top of the transmission on the riders right side of the bike... This is NOT a complete motorcycle, you are buying what is described... I have included on picture of it before I started tearing it apart...

This will make a great project bike for someone. I need to move it soon as my storage facility is being sold, and I do not want to pay to store it...   If I had the time and resources I was going to but front wheels on it like a Spyder but alas it needs to go away!

buyer is responsible for pick up ASAP, it is on a pallet and in a facility that has a fork lift.

I will not arrange shipping but can help coordinate a freight/shipping company pick up.

Happy bidding!

Harley-Davidson’s New Tattoo Inspired Clothing Line

Thu, 10 Sep 2009

Not everyone can pull off a tattoo, I know I can’t.  Or maybe I’m just too scared to ink up my entire arm for the rest of my life, sporting a faded and stretched color blotch when I’m 75 with my grand kids trying to guess what it once was. Well Harley-Davidson has a solution for me (and maybe you!) Fake it! Harley-Davidson’s new clothing line has been designed by “Tattoo Masters” to give you that authentic tattoo look, but on a shirt.

Budding Artist and MDA Ambassador Create Motorcycle Painting to Benefit MDA

Sat, 27 Jul 2013

Reagan Imhoff dreams of a career in art, and the determined 8-year-old and MDA Ambassador won’t let Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type II get in the way of those dreams. Her parents’ New Berlin, WI, home is plastered with hundreds of her drawings, and a painting of hers sold for $5,000 at the MDA Black-N-Blue Ball in May. Local artist and Harley-Davidson designer Mathew Hintz is encouraging her passion.

More Miles From Dunlop’s 2nd-Gen American Elite Tires

Thu, 14 Mar 2013

Dunlop says its second-generation of American Elite tires provide increased mileage, and come in a variety of new styles. Designed with Dunlop’s MT Multi-Tread technology, with a long-wearing center compound and grippier compounds on each edge, the new American Elite’s should pique the interest of Harley FL owners. The second-gen series of American Elites are also now available with narrow white bar sidewalls and wide white walls along with the original black sidewall, providing FL owners more choices.  For riders of Harley-Davidson FL Touring bikes, model year 2009 and later, the new second-generation American Elite tires with Multi-Tread are available in 130/80B17 and 180/65B16 black sidewall, 130/80B17 and 180/65B16 narrow white sidewall, 130/90B16 and 180/65B16 wide white sidewall, with the 130/70B18 front tire available for select CVO bikes. For recent-model Softail owners, including models such as the Fat Boy, the MH90-21, 140/75R17 and 200/50R17 sizes of American Elite are also available.
