1998 Harley-Davidson Touring Road King FLHRC-I

 98' was the last year for the EVO engine, this one is fuel injected. Bike also features front and rear air ride, it's great to fine tune the ride. 

Additional equipment include: Screaming Eagle mufflers and Air intake, Tour pack and docking system, plus bags on side guards all with the Road King Classic badges and basket weave leather. Driver and passenger back rests as well as a windshield bag are also included. 

Major upgrades include: an Ultra-Cool fan assisted oil cooler (important in a climate like South Florida) and a Twisted audio stereo system that features weather band and an AUX input. 

Performance upgrades include: Vance and Hines true dual head pipes, re flashed processor and K&N washable air filter.

Bike has also been treated to many chrome and decorative upgrades all from big name suppliers; Items include: chrome fork lowers, internally wired handlebars by Carlini Design, Kuryakyn grips, passenger pegs, and narrow turn signal bar. Plus Harley light visors and more.

This bike is ridden as daily transportation and shows signs of its use. However all maintenance is tracked and performed per a strict schedule, records available. Bike averages 43 MPG combined city and highway driving. Nitrogen filled Metzler 888 wide white wall tires installed 1,500 miles ago. Bell Ray application specific fluids used exclusively. Factory service manual included.

US Motorcycle Sales First Half 2011 Results

The U.S. motorcycle industry saw a 4.6% decrease in year-on-year sales over the first six months of 2011, thanks mostly to a 17.3% drop in ATV sales. Motorcycle and scooter sales however saw a 1.7% bump in the first half .

Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Aerosmith and country artist Toby Keith were introduced as headline performers along with the previously announced Kid Rock for Harley-Davidson‘s 110th anniversary celebration. Each headline concert will be held at the Marcus Amphitheater at the south side of Henry Maier Festival Park (A.K.A. the Summerfest Grounds) in Harley-Davidson‘s hometown Milwaukee.

Harley-Davidson Reveals Project Livewire

Yesterday we published a scoop on what we believed to be a production electric motorcycle by, of all companies, Harley-Davidson, dubbed “Livewire.” Today, H-D officially announced Project LiveWire as the company’s first electric motorcycle.However, it appears as though our speculation about LiveWire going into production was a bit off base. Instead, The Motor Company is continuing with its customer-led product development approach and letting riders decide whether or not LiveWire sees the light of day. Starting next week select consumers across the country will be able to ride and provide feedback on the bike, helping to shape the future of Harley-Davidson’s first-ever electric motorcycle. While not for sale, Project LiveWire is specifically designed for the purpose of getting insight into rider expectations of an electric Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
