PLEASE READ ENTIRE AUCTION DESCRIPTION PRIOR TO BIDDING You are considering a 1978 APST Florida titled Shovelhead Harley Davidson.,,, A BEAUTIFUL CLASSIC RIDE It has been titled as a special construction somewhere in it's past- but make no mistake- it is all Harley Davidson. I do not know the mileage but it does not smoke at all when started- and runs strong-the mileage reads 1,629. The motor does not leak The bike receives the compliments wherever I ride. THE TITLE IS CLEAN. The bike runs with great compression- no leaks that I can see- drives -shifts well. It has bright shiny chrome with some minimal chrome wheel surface rust. All lights work including high low beams- running lights- rare factory stock light bumper set up. 4 speed tranny- Please note-Currently rear brake only- kick start. The front hand brake assembly is on the bike = just not connected. Mon, 16 Jan 2012A new display in the Harley-Davidson museum in Milwaukee is set to open at the end of this week exhibiting the artwork of the firm's styling chief Willie G Davidson. As well as being the grandson of the original 'Davidson' and in charge of all Harley's styling, it turns out that Willie G is a dab hand with a paintbrush. According to Harley-Davidson, the display will include “idyllic rural landscapes and still life watercolour paintings with strong luminosity and form that hint at time spent in the countryside during 48 years as the pacesetter in motorcycle design.” The firm's museum has also announced other special exhibits planned for later in the year, including “Journey of the Iron Elite: The Evolution of Motorcycle Culture through the Eyes of African-Americans” and “Born to be Wild: The Black Leather Jacket” - a 4000-square-foot display dedicated purely to black biker jackets...
What am I gonna do with a gun rack?
Wed, 27 Jul 2011Living in Shoreditch I come across a unique variety of motorcycles on the road; from XS650s, to classic Lambrettas and one completely brown jelly-mould CBR600. My favourite of the regular bikes I see is this Harley-Davidson badged Armstrong MT500. In my head I like to think that the owner operates as an urban vigilante, realistically whoever rides this ex-Army bike is probably an artist and instead of a weapon in the gun holder it's probably art equipment.
