Selling a nice 1999 Harley Davidson FLHTCUI touring bike with electronic fuel injection. Just hop on, push the button, and it starts right up regardless of whether it's cold out or not. The bike is in above average condition for a 1999 and only has minor scratches here and there. It has never been dropped or laid down and has been well taken care of. Has a ton of extras and chrome accessories all of which are HD brand. Comes with highway pegs, grips, chrome trim, running lights, full fairing, tour pack, and much more. Tires are in good condition with both over 50% tread. Paint and chrome all shine still and the bikes looks good from any distance. Comes with Screamin Eagle stage one kit and Supertrapp exhaust. Has a great sound and adds a little get up & go. Everything works including radio and electronic cruise control. The seat is in very good condition and is comfortable for all day rides. Radio also has aux plug in for whatever device you want to use while driving. Has 91,000 miles but you would never know it. It doesn't smoke, starts right up, and runs great. Harley-Davidson Racers Visiting Troops In Middle East
Tue, 19 Nov 2013A large number of military personnel are also motorcyclists, with many dreaming of the day they can hop back on their steeds after deployment. Harley-Davidson understands this, and in cooperation with Army Special Forces Association Chapter 64, Harley-Davidson Screamin’ Eagle/Vance & Hines riders Eddie Krawiec and Andrew Hines are joining Summit Racing Equipment and Armed Forces Entertainment November 18-22 for Operation Appreciation, an annual visit to American troops stationed overseas. After three years of visiting American military personnel based in Europe, Operation Appreciation will travel to the Middle East to visit troops in Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain.
US Motorcycle Thefts Down 6% in 2011
Tue, 09 Oct 2012Americans reported 46,667 motorcycle thefts in 2011, a 6% decrease from 49,791 stolen motorcycles in 2010, reports the National Insurance Crime Bureau. Despite the drop in reported thefts, the non-profit organization representing nearly 1100 property and casualty insurance companies says the theft rate still averages out to one motorcycle stolen every 11 minutes in the U.S. The numbers were published in the NICB’s 2011 ForeCAST Report which examined theft reports as well as recoveries.
