2013 Long Beach International Motorcycle Show Report

Today the motorcycle press descended upon the Long Beach Convention Center to attend media day at the annual International Motorcycle Show. After feasting from a continental breakfast buffet the discerning journalists set to the task of reporting on the bounty of new model motorcycles – most of which has been previously showcased in our November EICMA reporting. In September, Fonzie brought us a report on the 2010 Spyder RT direct from the Can-Am beehive in Valcourt, Quebec, Canada. With more carrying capacity than ANY motorcycle on the market — even some automobiles —- Can-Am sent touring guru and friend-of-MO, Fred Rau, on a tour of Canada and the United States to promote the new 5-speed luxury touring roadster. 2013 Can-Am Spyder RT and ST Models Recalled for Fire Risk

Transport Canada announced a recall for all 2013 Can-Am Spyder RT and ST series roadsters because of a risk of a vehicle fire. At the moment, a recall has only been announced for Canada but a representative from Bombardier Recreational Products says agencies in other countries such as the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration are also preparing for a recall.
