Motorcycle.com Weekly Community Round-up!
Mon, 15 Dec 2008Here are a few things going on around the Motorcycle.com Forum Network:
Animated Enginesplivez, a new member of the Ducati.ms forums (welcome Plivez!) has a website where he animates motorcycle engines in flash. It’s pretty interesting to see the way a Evo and Twin Cam V twin Harley Davidson engine works. He also has up the crazy BMW flat twin R100 motorcycle engine which seems more complicated then an engine should be!
Make sure you hit the play button/icon for each of his engines to see the different cross sections!
Check out his site here.
tailgating aholes!SpicyRR is pee’d off. He is tired of tail gating. And ya know what? So am I! He asks the 600rr forum members what he should do with tailgating aholes.
Some interesting responses were:
On backish roads when they get too close at a light, i’ll light the tire up for a sec and smoke em out, while simultaneously spraying the front of their ride with my hot smagma
-[MB]
I stand on my pegs, pull down my riding pants and show them my one ugly eye
-v-tec crx
Not bad, not bad. I tend to slow right down and do EXACTLY the speed limit. Whatever you do, remember to be safe!
Russia’s Aqua Star: An Original Underwater MotorcycleStray from the esportbike forums has posted a pic and info on a crazy underwater motorcycle: The Russian Aqua Star.
Kindly posted by Stray:
The Aqua Star is an extraordinary motorcycle that permits the user to go underwater without any special equipment. The way it works is simple. The body of the motorcycle rider stays in the water and the head is encased in a sort of helmet that serves as a diving bell equipped with an air-supplying system. (If this conjures the expression about ‘keeping your head above water,’ don’t blame me.)
If you are curious about this invention there’s an article for it on Inventorspot.com
I’ve also dug up a video for you! Enjoy!

That’s it for this week. Stay safe this weekend!
