Join The Ride For Sight Fundraiser, June 6-8, In Ontario, Canada

Thu, 08 May 2014

The 36th annual Ride for Sight fundraiser kicks off June 6-8 at the Lindsay Exhibition in Lindsay, ON., with proceeds going to support the Foundation Fighting Blindness – Canada’s largest charity supporting over $25 million in sight-saving research.

Friday night, the party gets started with its first ever barn dance, complete with mechanical bull. Saturday morning at 10 am, riders depart the Lindsay Exhibition for a 90-minute motorcycle parade. The stunning scenic route takes riders through the most beautiful country roads in the Kawartha Lakes. Saturday night, Canadian musician Tom Wilson, and his band Junkhouse, will rock the park as headline performers. And all weekend long, there is free camping, bike games, demo rides, a stunt show and vendor marketplace.

“Not only is Ride for Sight weekend an amazing party, but an awesome fundraiser, having raised over $20 million for sight-saving research over the years,” says Mike Harwood, chair, Central Ontario. “By raising the minimum of $100, anyone can enjoy the weekend of festivities and are automatically entered to win a draw for a 2014 Triumph America LT motorcycle.”

Ride for Sight happens in six regions across Canada: Lindsay, Ontario (June 6-8); Urbania, Nova Scotia (June 13-15); Elbow, Saskatchewan (June 20-22); Ponoka, Alberta (June 21); Gander, Newfoundland (June 27-29) and; Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario (July 11-13). For more information, or to register, visit www.rideforsight.com.
