EICMA 2013: 2014 Bimota BB3 Featuring BMW S1000RR Engine – Video
Thu, 07 Nov 2013Italian manufacturer Bimota celebrates its 40th anniversary this year with a new change in ownership and the EICMA unveiling of the BB3 sportbike.

The follow-up to the BB2 presented at last year’s EICMA show, the Bimota BB3 is powered by the 999cc inline-Four engine from the BMW S1000RR which claims a peak output of 190 hp.

The engine is mounted in a trellis composite frame designed by Bimota Chief Engineer Andrea Acquaviva. The bodywork is a carbon fiber fairing designed by Enrico Borghesan and developed through racing in Italy’s Moto2 series. Ohlins provides the upside-down fork and monoshock while the brakes are from Brembo.
Other features include ABS, traction control, anti-wheelie and electronically-assisted shifting.
