I purchased this bike in 2005. I am the original owner. After purchasing I installed "muffler hot body kit", and corbin seat but everything else is original. Bike has 2,003 miles and is in LIKE NEW condition!!! She has been babied and garaged since new. NEVER been dropped or rode hard, mostly sat. So new owner can surely break her in nicely and have pretty much a new 2005 bike. May need new battery from sitting. Will give current battery a good charge prior to selling. Yamaha Reports Q2 2013 Sales Results
Tue, 06 Aug 2013Yamaha bounced back from a poor first quarter with sales of 1.530 million motorcycles over the second quarter ended June 30, 2013. The results represent a 1.5% increase from the 1.507 million motorcycles sold in the same quarter last year. Still, Yamaha’s first half motorcycle sales total of 3.0 million units remains behind last year’s tally of 3.1 million units because of the weak first quarter sales.
Yamaha Tests New Engine Spec at Sepang
Tue, 28 Feb 2012Yamaha MotoGP riders Jorge Lorenzo and Ben Spies tested new engine specifications for their YZR-M1 prototypes on the first day of testing at Malaysia’s Sepang circuit. Wet conditions limited track time in the afternoon but Yamaha was able to get some data on the engine in the morning. Yamaha also worked on finding a solution to front end chatter problems.
