Yamaha YZF-R description

You are bidding on a 2001 Yamaha YZF-R6 sport bike. Mileage is 19,523. I purchased this bike from a friend recently and I had some work done on it by a certified Yamaha Dealer. I have the documents if you need them. Work done is listed below. I planned on keeping this bike for a few years, but my company is transferring me out of state and I don't have the means to tow/trailer it. I didn't put many miles on it as I've been very busy with my transition. The only thing that it needs that I did not have done was the front brakes. Bike rides strong, runs smooth, and is a great bike at the 600cc level. I personally did not do any modifications to this bike. Bike comes with a BRAND NEW Guardian Sport Bike Cover.

The previous owner had the tank professionally painted a metallic black, put low profile front directionals on it, Yoshimura pipe (which sounds awesome), rail sliders, and an integrated tail lamp with signals. He sold the fairings that were on it and had planned to get black fairings. In the interim he affixed the aluminum rear section to the stock fairing bolt sections, which I never liked. If I was going to keep the bike I was going to buy the original blue fairings for it. I never dropped the bike, however as you can see from one of the pictures it does have some rash on it from previous owner. Below is the list of certified Yamaha parts that were recently installed. Bike avail for pick up only in Tinton Falls, NJ area. 50% deposit due at completion of bidding via paypal....balance by cash or "bank" check upon pickup. I have the title in hand. Email any questions.

List of recent work done:.....

1) Oil Change/Filter
2) New Regulator
3) New Stator
4) New Fuel Pump
5) Ran New Wire and ground to Battery
6) Flushed Coolant and replaced Coolant
7) New gasket for crankcase
8) Recall Fixed: Sprocket Retaining Nut (M2006-003)
9) New R-6 Grips

Unfortunately, spinal cord injuries occasionally happen when something goes tragically wrong on a motorcycle. Former 250cc Motocross World Champion Heinz Kinigadner and Red Bull have teamed up to create the Kini Red Bull Collection of high-end MX gear. Proceeds from each sale directly benefits the Wings For Life Foundation, whose mission is to find a cure for spinal cord injuries.
