Yamaha YZF-R description

For your consideration is my 2000 YZF R1. This has been a great streetbike for me but it is time for it to go. The bike has never been crashed, however it does have a few scuffs on the left side where a former friend of mine knocked it over in a parking lot. The result of this can be seen also in the picture from above where a small corner of the left fairing is cracked off, I have the piece and it should be able to be glued on. Aside from that it will be due for tires but is rideable the way it is. It has a blue flame quad undertail exhaust which is a 1-2-4 so it does not affect the EXUP valve in any way and when new was a $2500 slip on. There is 2 broken clamps for the exhaust but I still have the old ones. This is a good used bike which will last a long time and it will come with a matching helmet, cover & factory Yamaha service manual. In addition it does have a 520 chain and sprocket kit as well as has been rejetted to accomodate the exhaust. Purchaser is responsible for pickup of item locally in Mid-Michigan. Aside from those items, it is a stock bike. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask!

2013 Yamaha YZF-R6 Color and Graphic Options Announced

Thu, 13 Sep 2012

Those of you hoping for an updated Yamaha YZF-R6 will have to wait for at least another year, as Yamaha announced the 599cc sportbike is returning for 2013 unchanged except for new colors and graphics. Yamaha last updated the R6 in 2008, equipping it with the company’s Yamaha Chip Controlled Intake (YCC-T) variable-length intake system. The lack of any significant updates to the 2013 R6 must be disappointing to Yamaha fans, especially as the color updates were announced the same day Kawasaki is expected to reveal a new 636cc ZX-6R.

Rossi’s Ranch: Valentino’s Personal Playground

Tue, 23 Jul 2013

What does Valentino Rossi do when he’s not riding his Yamaha M1 around the best racetracks in the world? He relaxes at home in Tavullia, Italy, and rides motorcycles around his newly developed dirt track dubbed, “Rossi’s Ranch.” “It’s like a dream from when you’re a child,” says Rossi. “You hope at one moment you can buy your own racetrack.” It’s safe to say Rossi is financially stable enough at this moment in time to where he can make his childhood dream a reality.
