2005 Yamaha Yz450f , 2005 Yamaha YZ450F Motocross Bike. Engine, transmission, suspension, body, and frame all in excellent condition. Bike is clean and does not have any broken parts. There are very minor abrasions on the tupperware, but nothing out of the ordinary. Fluids have been checked. The only thing the bike needs to be in top condition is a new rear sprocket ($39), chain ($61), handlebar grips ($10 each), and air filter ($29). Price has been reduced to reflect that. Yamaha to Produce PES1 and PED1 Electric Motorcycles by 2016
Mon, 21 Apr 2014Yamaha announced plans to release the production versions of its PES1 and PED1 concept models within two years as part of the company’s plans to enter the electric motorcycle segment. The PES1 and PED1 (which stands for “Passion, Electric, Street” and “Passion, Electric, Dirt”) concepts were first revealed at last November’s Tokyo Motor Show. In the company’s newly-published annual report, Yamaha confirmed plans to produce the two models, saying: “In sports motorcycles, we are working to create new value with EV sports motorcycles, which we aim to launch in two years, with the development of the small, on-road sports PES1, as well as the PED1, which are being developed to expand the scope of electric vehicles to the off-road world.
Yard Built XV950 Pure Sports Channels the Yamaha FZ750
Tue, 29 Apr 2014The latest product Yamaha Motor Europe’s Yard Built custom specials is a Star Bolt transformed into a replica of an FZ750. Dubbed the XV950 Pure Sports after the words written on the original FZ750′s fairing, the project was produced by Italy’s LowRide magazine and Radikal Chopper and styling by Oberdan Bezzi. The Star Bolt – known in Europe as the XV950 – is nearly unrecognizable in this new guise, except for its 942cc V-Twin engine.
Yamaha Building New Factory in India
Mon, 14 May 2012Yamaha has received approval from the government of India to build a new factory in Chennai in the southern state of Tamil Nadu. Joining an existing factory near New Delhi, the new Chennai plant is expected to increase Yamaha‘s production capabilities in India to 2.8 million units a year by 2018. The new factory will be built on a 109-acre lot in Vallam Vadagal on the outskirts of Chennai.
