Up for sale is my 2003 Yamaha YZ125. I have owned this bike for over 4 years and this bike has treated me well. This bike was just rebuilt from the crank up, including wiseco crank/bearing kit, athena top end kit including new cylinder. It has maybe 20 minutes on rebuild. It has lots of aftermarket accessories including: suspension is rebuilt front & rear, new chain & sprockets, fmf pipe & silencer, v-force reed block assy, pro taper bars. Tires are like new, & this bike rips! I have the title for this bike. The only reason for sale is new bike purchase. I don't need this one anymore because I bought a new one. Stoner explains the tank slapper

But coming over the crest on the back straight his bike momentarily lost control in a tank slapper. Regaining composure the championship leader was forced to pump his brakes to get the pads back in place, with the rear-wheel bouncing in the air he ran out of time and space to make the 90 degree right hander and was forced to run into the gravel.
Yamaha to Cut Motorcycle Production in 2009
Thu, 26 Feb 2009With mounting inventories coupled with a drop in demand, Yamaha will be cutting its motorcycle production in Japan by 24 percent this year or to about 260,000 total units; one newspaper reported this would be a 40-year low for the manufacture. Yamaha plans to cut production for motorcycles and other products by 30 percent in the Americas, 20 percent in Europe but will maintain production levels in Asia where demand has not dropped off. The company is forecasting its group sales to fall 22 percent with an operating loss of about $300 million.
