Carb: custom built for bike by John A.... with oem throttle assembly .
Pipe:best pipe for this bike by Vintage Iron ,,

Rims:great shape after market Sun rims with heavy duty stainless steel spokes and nipples looks great ....
Frame:solid not bent no repairs ,it has oversized foot pegs ...
Brakes: rear work good, front brakes, sounds crazy but for drum brakes they work great!!

I Never really planned on selling this bike but due to young family members having no interest in open vintage bikes and only wanting new thumpers Im forced to sell off this awesome bike.

I had plans on building a 1980 version of the yz 465 and i would like to offer up those parts i have accumulated, many of which are interchangeable, basically its a roller with some key parts (two cylinders with plenty of meat on the bone,,, a good crank with the oem parts needed to rebuilt it the forks in picture are off a 1990 kx 250).Take a look ,,,this part of the deal is ONLY available If the "buy it now "option is used....

Shipping is the responsibility of the winning bidder ,, i do have a "forward air"center near by and will transport bike to that location for no additional charge or bike and parts in a crate for and additional $60.00....

Small-Displacement Class Considered for 2015 AMA Pro Racing Season

Wed, 04 Dec 2013

More and more manufacturers are entering the small-displacement sportbike market and AMA Pro Racing has taken notice, opening the possibility of adding a new racing class representing the growing segment. With plans to consolidate the Daytona Sportbike and Supersport classes and the Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson series signed through 2015, a spot will open up on race weekends for another racing class to support the premier Superbike Championship. The logical choice is to introduce a new small-displacement class.

When it comes to improving the performance of a motorcycle’s weakest link, Nick Ienatsch and Ken Hill have taken on an enormous task. You see, this link is always changing and never constant, but can be molded and improved. It’s not a motorcycle at all.

The short but sweet life of the Yamaha R7

Tue, 17 Jan 2012

I was reunited with an old friend recently, my 1999 Virgin Yamaha R7 Superbike. By the end of 1998 I had won three straight BSB titles with the Yamaha YZF750, when main sponsor Cadbury’s pulled out leaving zero funds for a title defence. Wanting desperately to ride the new R7 and thinking a replacement backer would instantly get on board I turned down quite a few offers including a juicy contract from Crescent Suzuki (Paul Denning always enjoys reminding me).
