Up for sale here is a true 98% original 76 YZ 400. I will start out with my camera sucks and the photos do not do the bike justice. It starts right up and runs Great!! Seriously this bike is so original it is Awesome!! It has a dent in the tank on the left side as you are sitting on the bike( not real bad) Original seat is great! Even the original handlebars, With slight bend an easy fix. Exhaust is perfect with no dents or rust holes, Fork tubes are great, Wheels spin straight, Only bad is the kick stand mount has been welded back on( fine though) Air forks still hold air just fine, Air box all intact in nice shape with new filters, Even has the original kill button, As you can see in one of the photos there is a pile of NOS parts that go with the bike. And check it out both of the air canister rubber covers are still on it. You will NEVER find another like it as this bike was only built for I year only. French Moto Website Anticipates Versys 1000 at EICMA 2011
Mon, 24 Oct 2011Musings of a liter-size engined Kawasaki Versys have circulated the web for a few years now, as loyalists of the likable Versys 650, as well as displacement-driven riders waiting in the wings, have pondered the potential of a more powerful adventure bike from Kawasaki that’s in the same league as BMW’s R1200GS and Yamaha’s Super Tenere. Alas, nothing of the sort has ever left the lips of Kawasaki, let alone go into production. Recently, however, the French motorcycle website, Moto-net.com, has produced convincing images that appear like photos of a complete Versys 1000, including matching hard luggage.
Bruce Willis’ 1988 Yamaha TW200 Trailway Up for Auction
Tue, 05 Feb 2013The second of five motorcycles from the private collection of actor Bruce Willis has gone up for auction to raise funds for the non-profit military support group The Boot Campaign. Bidding is now open on CharityBuzz.com for the “Die Hard” star’s 1988 Yamaha TW200 Trailway. It follows Willis’ 2005 Ducati Multistrada 1000DS which sold for auction for $6,250, just a few hundred dollars higher than its list price in Kelley Blue Book.
Yamaha Trademarks YZF-R3
Thu, 16 Jan 2014Yamaha has filed for a trademark with the European Union for the names “YZF-R3” and “R3“. The trademark applications were filed Jan. 6 and are still under review, but once approved, we should expect Yamaha to introduce a new YZF-R3 soon after.
