HERE WHAT I HAVE IS A 1992 YAMAHA VMAX 1200 WITH 8800 MILES ON IT.  THIS BIKE BELONGS TO A FAMILY FRIEND WHO'S HUSBAND WAS A NEW YORK CITY FIREMAN WHO MADE THE ULTIMATE SACRIFICE DURING 9/11.  THIS BIKE HAS BEEN IN STORAGE EVER SINCE AND IT HAS JUST SEEN DAY LIGHT.  THE FLUIDS WERE ALL CHANGED, NEW SPARK PLUGS AND NEW BATTERY.  HOWEVER, THE CARBURETORS WILL HAVE TO BE PROFESSIONALLY CLEANED. THE BIKE STARTS AND IDLES GOOD, BUT  WHEN YOU GIVE IT GAS IT TENDS TO BOG DOWN.  SO AGAIN, I REPEAT, IT WILL NEED A PROFESSIONAL CARB CLEANING.  COSMETICALLY THE BIKE IS EXTREMELY CLEAN.  WE GOT A CLEAN AND CLEAR TITLE IN HAND AND GOT A BUY IT NOW PRICE OF $4000 OR WILL CONSIDER THE NEAREST BEST OFFER..  I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO END THE LISTING EARLY, AS THE BIKE IS ALSO LISTED LOCALLY FOR SALE.  IF YOU GOT ANY QUESTIONS OR DOUBTS CONTACT ME ON 646 361 8452. Yamaha Motor USA to Swallow Up Yamaha Canada

Yamaha’s board of directors has voted in transfer all shares of its Canadian subsidiary to its American subsidiary, a move which would give Yamaha Motor U.S.A. responsibility over the entire North American market. The proposed transfer, set to begin in December,  will make Yamaha Motor Canada a subsidiary of its American counterpart.

AMA to Combine Daytona Sportbike and Supersport Classes in 2015

AMA Pro Racing announced plans to combine its Daytona Sportbike and Supersport classes into a single category by the 2015 season. The two classes currently share many similarities including engine displacement regulations, minimum weight limits and eligible machines. The Supersport class has more restrictions on modifications and are limited to a maximum top speed of 165 mph while Daytona Sportbike machines are allowed to reach speeds up to 170 mph.

Michael Dunlop captured his second victory in the 2013 Isle of Man TT, winning the first Supersport race a day after doing the same in the Superbike race. But it was a different Dunlop that led early on the first lap. Older brother William Dunlop on the Milwaukee Yamaha R6 had the fastest time through Glen Helen, between the ninth and tenth milestones of the Isle of Man’s Mountain course.
