This Yamaha TZB 250 has been one of my own on going restoration here in Vancouver BC Canada.
The sale is a complete package including the complete original disassembled engine plus a fresh barrel with matching head. The crank is suspect needing a rebuild. Not included are the front brake internals and a proper year fairing. When I originally bought the bike, it had been retired from the local racing scene [Westwood & Mission] with the only mods from original being an alloy front rim with a front brake disc conversion, later year TZ fairing & seat. The alloy front rim, disk, caliper & handle bar hydraulic unit are included in the sale if wanted, The faring & seat went to a Cafe racer build. This bike is not for the faint of heart or the novice racer. "it is hyper responsive and will "bite you" in a moment of lack of focus" More pics on Flickr. Motorcyclist Nabbed For Going 166 MPH on NY Thruway
Fri, 04 May 2012McCarthy’s wit isn’t as quick as his motorcycle. “A prudent man concealeth knowledge: but the heart of fools proclaimeth foolishness.” (Proverbs 12:23 KJV) According to reports, New York State Police arrested Nikkolaus McCarthy, 25, of Charlton, N.Y., this past Wednesday afternoon after he was “clocked” riding his motorcycle at 166 mph on the New York State Thruway in Ravena, N.Y. But it seems McCarthy needs to learn the simple concept of avoiding self-incrimination.
Lorenzo, Spies Call Test a Success Despite Crashes
Thu, 01 Mar 2012Yamaha riders Jorge Lorenzo and Ben Spies each crashed but both riders deemed the third and final day of MotoGP testing in Malaysia a success. Lorenzo and Spies both crashed during the morning of the test but were unhurt. Despite the minor setback, both riders managed to get a lot done at the Sepang International Circuit.
Yamaha Reports Q2 2013 Sales Results
Tue, 06 Aug 2013Yamaha bounced back from a poor first quarter with sales of 1.530 million motorcycles over the second quarter ended June 30, 2013. The results represent a 1.5% increase from the 1.507 million motorcycles sold in the same quarter last year. Still, Yamaha’s first half motorcycle sales total of 3.0 million units remains behind last year’s tally of 3.1 million units because of the weak first quarter sales.
