Yamaha TW200 description

1999 Yamaha TW 200 'Trail Way' dual sport / street and trail motorcycle. Electric start and fully street legal- head light tail light brake light high beam low beam turn signals speedometer odometer & horn all work, all dash indicator lights work. Clean Indiana title in my name. We just got back from a few days riding in Northern Michigan with it and our other dual sport, the bike is awesome, wide tires float over sand and soft stuff and serve as suspension too. The bike is a little tractor on the trails, plenty of manageable power, would make a great bike for a beginner, wife, girl friend, shorter guy, or just a commuter or trail bike, for the farm, kids, hunting or fishing etc. 12K miles. It smokes a little bit, but doesnt burn any significant amount of oil. In Michigan we rode 90 miles of trail between 10-25 mph and the oil level in the viewing window didnt change. The bike has a dent in the right side of gas tank (see pic) and other various scuffs and signs of use as it should being a trail bike from 99, but has never been abused and is overall, in my opinion, in much better condition than average given its age and miles. 5 speed trans, new chain and sprockets, new CDI, entire bike has been rewired, strong battery. These bikes have been unchanged since 1987 and have a strong following, a dedicated TW200 forum, and some pretty incredible reviews. Understandable why people love them. We dont ride on the road much but the bike can do 55+ mph without a problem, should be able to do 65 or so according to others experience. We are selling because my wife chose the XT over this one. It needs nothing except for a pair of rear view mirrors and a rider with a sense of adventure. Thanks.
