Yamaha TW200 DUAL PURPOSE description

My third one, set up for exploring ghost towns, mining sites, and fossil hunting this fall. Couple heart attacks slammed the door on that. The first two each lasted over a decade, used in enduro competition, trail riding, dunes, a couple road trips (one from Sacramento to San Francisco) Had the dealer deliver with 15 tooth countershaft sprocket. Experience showed that ya won't notice the difference off road, but enables actual use of first gear, AND buzzes along at indicated 65mph all day. (not tried on this one) hence the windscreen extension and hand guards, both proven over many years with the other two. Tail trunk is a 1 button pop off, don't leave home without it ;-)                                                                                                                         Oil changed at 100 miles in Jan, was waiting for 300 before using synthetic. (oil and filter included) Has been ridden short distances since to keep adding fresh gas and continue breaking in. Decals on front are peel off, but they look cool, and have contact info from a rider support network.

BSB 2012; Mystic Mac investigates

Tue, 03 Jan 2012

In my opinion, the smartest move in the BSB off season has to be Michael Laverty moving from Swan Yamaha to HM Plant Honda. With a ban on electronics for 2012, and in particular traction control, WFR's Graham Gowland has already proved to Laverty how competitive an EVO spec Fireblade can be - so I’m tipping both these riders to be bang on the money at the Brands Hatch season opener in April. Unlike BMW, Kawasaki and Yamaha, Honda have deliberately developed their road-going Superbike without electronics to give a user friendly feel with good mechanical traction, so it’ll be interesting to see how the opposition copes with their high-tech trickery stripped off.

2013 Yamaha XJ6, XJ6 Diversion Updated for European Market

Thu, 30 Aug 2012

Yamaha has revealed an updated version of its XJ6 including its faired Diversion and Diversion F versions for the European market. The XJ6 models were first introduced in Europe in 2009 as the latest member of Yamaha‘s XJ series and a replacement for the FZ6 as a middleweight all-arounder. In recent years however, Yamaha Motor USA decided to keep the slightly sportier FZ6R in its lineup and pass on the XJ6 models.

Results From Day 2 Of World Supersport Testing At Phillip Island

Tue, 18 Feb 2014

If there’s one constant when it comes to World Supersport racing, it’s that Kenan Sofuoglu will be at or near the front at all times. The former champ has a special ability when it comes to lapping middleweight sportbikes as quickly as possible, and it showed again at the conclusion of World Supersport testing at Phillip Island. Sofuoglu’s best time of 1:33.506 was set during the first day of testing, but still nobody was able to beat it.
