Yamaha Road Star description
2002 Yamaha Road Star Silverado, Loaded to the max! Come in and check this one out. - The brawny Road Star Silverado (and its Road Star sibling) thundered onto the cruiser scene three years ago, taking it by storm with its sheer size, classic retro styling and heaps of torque. But then, it's hardly a mystery why this belt-driven mega-machine made such a huge impression. When you're home to a gigantic 98 cubic inches of air-cooled, pushrod-actuated V-twin pumping out 99 foot-pounds of torque, people tend to notice.

Yamaha Pro Am madness, the best one make championship ever?
Sat, 18 Dec 2010I’m biased of course, but the best one make road race championship has to be the Yamaha RD 350LC Pro Am series. Back in the days when manufacturers had spare cash (1980 to be precise), Mitsui Yamaha organised this televised championship at major British race meetings to promote the recently launched, and now iconic, Yamaha RD350LC. Twenty four riders (twelve established and twelve rookies) were chosen by a panel of experts then given a completely free season of racing with a very generous prize fund thrown in.
Just for a moment; leading the British GP
Tue, 12 Jun 2012Cal Crutchlow’s early exit at his home Moto GP last year meant we didn’t get to see his awesome potential at Silverstone. His two WSB race wins there in 2010 were pretty special as he dominated on the factory Yamaha R1, not least as he used some alternative lines and every inch of the track along the way. With his form matching the world's best in every event this year, on paper, this weekend should be his best chance so far to secure a podium or maybe even (making the dream come true!) take the first major class win in three decades.
Yamaha Sketches out the Features on the New 2010 YZ450F [Video]
Thu, 10 Sep 2009You’ll realize how cheesy that headline is after watching the pretty rad video that Yamaha has released. Yamaha’s new motocross bike has taken a radical new approach. The engine is backwards. Yamaha’s reason for doing this is to shift the heavy end of the motor more to the center of the motorcycle to make it more agile and responsive. Slanting the cylinder also made for a straighter pathway for the air intake at the front of the bike.
