Yamaha Raider description

I bought bike new, then had it painted, still owe some on it, paint is one of a kind special mixed PPG, It is an "S" model so all chrome. Has a 240 tire on rear, has cobra pipes on it sounds great. still have factory exhaust as well. The front fender is a "reaper" fender from Low & Mean, still have the original as well but it is red.  The tail light has been modified to be the brake light and turn signal.(all 3 in one). motor is a 113 cubic inch(1900cc) and has more than enough power. Headlight has been converted to H.I.D.. Bike just turned 8,000 miles. I have $3,000 in the paint alone. This is a nice and very powerful cruiser, no Harley will come close. The pictures do not do the paint job justice, the blue is very vibrant without being flaky or bass boat looking, as well as the orange, it has a sterling silver base coat that makes it really stand out, bike looks much better in person.   $8150 ( Black book on this bike is still $11,000)     consumer NADA is 10,000.   419-681-0811 call me

Cardboard Yamaha R1

Tue, 01 May 2012

I'm partial to a bit of origami and have been frustratingly screwing up paper trying to master Yamaha's paper craft series for a while now. Jack Chen from Australia has not only made a mockery of my model making failures, but he also made this version which is 40% smaller than a full-size Yamaha YZF-R1, out of cardboard.

French Moto Website Anticipates Versys 1000 at EICMA 2011

Mon, 24 Oct 2011

Musings of a liter-size engined Kawasaki Versys have circulated the web for a few years now, as loyalists of the likable Versys 650, as well as displacement-driven riders waiting in the wings, have pondered the potential of a more powerful adventure bike from Kawasaki that’s in the same league as BMW’s R1200GS and Yamaha’s Super Tenere. Alas, nothing of the sort has ever left the lips of Kawasaki, let alone go into production. Recently, however, the French motorcycle website, Moto-net.com, has produced convincing images that appear like photos of a complete Versys 1000, including matching hard luggage.
