Yamaha RZ350 description

You are bidding on a Kenny Roberts Edition 1984 Yamaha RZ350.  This is a numbers matching bike (EIN & VIN match) with only 8191 original miles.  This is one of the last 2 strokes produced for the US.  I bought this bike as a project and really went through it.  There are a lot of new parts and most of work is done.  The bike runs.  I do have video of it running, but am unable to download it from my FB page.  I have another RZ and just need some shop space.  I have too many projects.  This bike has a clean Vermont transferrable registration in my name (Vermont doesn't title vehicles over 15 years old...your state will accept this as ownership)

New Parts / Key Points
- New CDI Box
- New DG Pipes
- New Duro HF 918 Tires (both Front & Rear) 0 Miles
- New Throttle Cables
- New Clutch Cable
- New Brakes
   - Front Master Cylinder Rebuilt (all new OEM Yamaha Seals)
   - Front Calipers Rebuilt (all new OEM Yamaha seals for both calipers)
   - New Front Brake Pads
   - Rear Master Cylinder rebuilt (all new OEM Yamaha seals)
   - Rear Caliper Rebuilt (all new OEM Yamaha Seals)
- New Windshield
- Carbs were rejetted to spec (carbs still need to be tuned)
- New Fork Seals & Forks Rebuilt
- New Battery

Items that need attention
- Horn doesn't work (it's getting power...so the horn just needs replaced)
- Small repair to pinhole in fuel tank (as seen in picture).  It doesn't leak.
- As stated before, this will need a good carb tune

All lights, brake lights & directional lights work as they should.  All body panels are original paint, original decals & original seat cover (as pictured).  The bike is currently winterized and stored.  Feel free to contact me by text anytime.  If you would like to call with any questions, please do so ONLY after 4:30PM EST.  I can be reached at 716-912-6157.  This bike is also for sale locally and this auction is subject to end at any time, for any reason.  Feel free to set an appointment to inspect the bike for yourself.

If shipping is a concern, I have used a trusted & insured national shipper that regularly ships full sized motorcycles anywhere in the continental US for $525.  I will share this information with the winning bidder, as needed.

Yamaha Planning Sub-$500 Model to Undercut Honda Dream Yuga

Fri, 25 May 2012

Not long after Honda launched its ultra low-cost Dream Yuga in India, Yamaha announced it is considering a new own model that will be nearly 40% cheaper. The 109cc Dream Yuga is Honda‘s latest weapon in the battle for India’s 13-million unit per year motorcycle market. Priced at 44,642 Indian rupees (US$806), the Dream Yuga is the most affordable Honda model available in India.

The short but sweet life of the Yamaha R7

Tue, 17 Jan 2012

I was reunited with an old friend recently, my 1999 Virgin Yamaha R7 Superbike. By the end of 1998 I had won three straight BSB titles with the Yamaha YZF750, when main sponsor Cadbury’s pulled out leaving zero funds for a title defence. Wanting desperately to ride the new R7 and thinking a replacement backer would instantly get on board I turned down quite a few offers including a juicy contract from Crescent Suzuki (Paul Denning always enjoys reminding me).
