1999 Yamaha Vmax, For sale, 1999 Yamaha Vmax carbon fiber gray by original owner. 6158 ORIGINAL miles! I purchased this bike new in July 1999, always garage kept and meticulously cared for, always driven maturely and never abused! The bike is also mechanically bone stock, the accessories include (pictured), is a real leather Corbin seat, Yamaha brand back rest, mini smoked windshield and engine case guards, also the stock handlebar was changed to a drag bar type handlebar. The bike has a new battery from last year along with an aftermarket high performance regulator/rectifier! Bike runs excellent! The tires only have roughly 1800 miles since they were replaced as wellrecent PA inspection! Also included is the original Vmax seat with all hardware and the original handlebar. The buyer will get all manuals in original plastic, tool kit and both keys. Andrea Dovizioso Signs with Tech 3 Yamaha for 2012
Tue, 11 Oct 2011The Tech 3 MotoGP team has reached a one-year agreement with Andrea Dovizioso, signing the Repsol Honda factory rider to take Colin Edwards’ place on the Yamaha satellite team in the 2012 season. Dovizioso will join the Tech 3 Yamaha team after three years with the Repsol Honda team. Despite currently holding onto the third overall spot on the 2011 championship points standings with five podium appearances and 13 top-five finishes in 15 races, Dovizioso found himself the odd man out with Honda which will stick with a two-man factory team of Casey Stoner and Dani Pedrosa with Marco Simoncelli riding a factory-supported Honda RC212V with the Gresini team.

Wed, 30 Jun 2010With the two test riders coming forward to act as replacement riders for the injured Rossi and Aoyama, it brought back memories of the days when the grid would be gifted with wildcard riders from the respective countries. The Japanese rounds were always attended by some of the top guys with experience of the 500GP and MotoGP bikes, through racing them in their domestic championships. What resulted was getting to witness the exciting and talented Japanese riders, and bring new riders to the attention of the teams.
