Yamaha Other description

I acquired this bike from the original owners 28 year old daughter who had registered and insured the bike and used it for local in town riding.  She had the bike, serviced after it had sat for over 20 years, at the local dealer and used the bike for 1 and a half years and upgraded to a bigger bike. In the 1.5 years she told me she put over 1000 trouble free miles on it.

The bike has original 1904 miles and it shows well.
Has always been indoors, and was originally won at a raffle at the local Yamaha dealer in 1983.

Seems to be all original with the exception of the battery.

Has one small dent in tank, no paint damage, , some nicks and scratches her and there to be expected of a 33 year old motorcycle.

Not restored, a true daily rider, super economical rare bike. Top speed around 60 the way it is geared.

Motor is interchangeable with the ysr50 yamaha so parts are readily available.

Last registered and inspected in 2015.

Current and transferable NYS Title.

Email with any questions or to view BEFORE auction ends.

Bike is sold as is because of age, no warranty expressed or implied.

Thank You

This picture of me chasing Foggy on the Daytona banking in 1991 brought back some bitter sweet memories recently. I did half a season as his team mate on the Silkolene RC30s before scurrying off to Japan to ride a factory Yamaha Superbike. I’ve never been a quitter but I felt the team that year was gear stretched running two riders so it was a case of last in first out.

The charity track day was to benefit David Stanton, a Bay Area resident and long-time American Federation of Motorcyclists (AFM) competitor, who was paralyzed after a racing crash in June. In all, more than 400 people participated in the track day, attended the evening reception or stopped by to give Stanton their best wishes.
