Yamaha Other description

Offered for sale is my very original and beautiful Yamaha RD350A.  I am the 4th owner having owned this bike for a little more than 2 years an driving it less than 20 miles.  The owner before me purchased this RD in 1990 with just 400 miles on the odometer.  I have the newspaper classified ad from that time confirming the low original miles.  I also have yearly California registrations back to 1981.  The true mileage is 518 miles!

The bike is in excellent condition and has never been restored.  Although it is a very nice unmolested example it is not 100% perfect.  There are some very superficial scratches here and there.  Some of the black engine and carb paint are flaking a bit.  There is a small seam tear in the rear of the seat (see picture).

The inside of the fuel tank is clean and without corrosion.  A gas tank sealant was applied by a prior owner.  There is no pealing or flaking of the sealant.  The outside of the tank is free from dents or paint scratches.  The purple paint and chrome shines bright.  There is no rust or corrosion on the fasteners.  The bike has been in a dry climate throughout its life.

Prior to this listing I did not wash or detail the bike.  I removed the bike cover and dusted it off for the pictures.  The pictures speak of its true condition.  I added some ethanol free fuel and it started on the second kick.   The bike should have basic maintenance/tuning before being put into use if so desired.

Included in the sale are three keys, factory service manual, owners manual, warranty book, mint original tool kit, clear MA title.

Shipping cost and arrangements are the buyers responsibility although I will be happy to help on my end with loading etc.  Zero feedback bidders need to contact me before bidding otherwise they will be removed.  Please email with questions.  Contact me to arrange an inspection if you like.  Thank you for looking.

Isle of Man TT 2013: SES TT Zero Results

Wed, 05 Jun 2013

Motoczysz captured its fourth consecutive TT Zero at the 2013 Isle of Man TT, setting a new official record for electric motorcycles by averaging 109.675 mph on the Mountain Course. Michael Rutter piloted the Motoczysz E1PC to a lap time of 20:38.461 for his third straight TT Zero win. Finishing second as he did last year was John McGuinness on the Mugen Shinden Ni, with a time just 1.6 seconds slower than Rutter, with an average speed of 109.527 mph.

The problem with electric bikes...

Mon, 11 Jun 2012

This weekend sees the running of the most famous car race of them all, the Le Mans 24hrs, and to be a driver of one of the front-running cars has got to be fairly high on the list of jobs that will make ladies swoon. Speed, danger, noise, fame, physical fitness and lots and lots of money, the key elements of any top-line race series, tend to ensure that its star competitors manage to appear cool. But the latest press picture from Yamaha – publicising the firm's link with (Yamaha shareholder) Toyota's Le Mans effort – manages to strip away every last shred of of swagger from the team's drivers by plonking them on Yamaha EC-03 electric scooters.

Motorcycle.com Adds a New Editor

Mon, 05 Nov 2012

While some moto publications are cutting back and constricting, Motorcycle.com is proud to announce the addition of a new editor to our masthead. MO readers, meet Jon Langston, our new Associate Editor. I knew Langston was a cool cat when I first met him at the Harley-Davidson Blackline unveiling in January 2011.
