1973 YAMAHA TX 500 IN BEAUTIFUL CONDITION!

ONLY 7600 ORIGINAL MILES!

BEAUTIFUL IN ORIGINAL "BIRD BLUE"

THIS BIKE HAS BEEN IN HEATED STORAGE IN A PRIVATE COLLECTION FOR THE LAST 8 YEARS, I RECENTLY REMOVED AND CLEANED THE CARBS AND TOOK IT FOR A SHORT RIDE.  THE BIKE RUNS WELL-- BUT WILL NEED A LITTLE MORE "FETTLING" TO GET IT GOOD AND RIGHT.  THE CLUTCH NEEDS AN ADJUSTMENT, CARBS COULD USE A TUNING, AND BOTH SPEEDO AND TACH GAUGES ARE "SLUGGISH".  NOTHING OUT OF THE ORDINARY FOR A BIKE SITTING THIS LONG - BUT I NEED TO MENTION IT.
THIS IS A VERY, VERY NICE, HARD TO FIND BIKE!
FUN AND PRETTY MACHINE THAT YOU CAN ACTUALLY RIDE ALL DAY IF YOU WISH.
YOU WILL LOOK LONG AND HARD TO FIND ANOTHER ANY NICER.
100 PERCENT ORIGINAL FRONT TO BACK!

AUCTION STARTS AT $300, WITH A LOW RESERVE FOR A BIKE THIS NICE.  I AM SELLING OFF THE LAST OF MY OLD BIKES AS MY EYES ARE GETTING BAD AND IT IS GETTING HARD TO DO THE DETAIL STUFF.  WINNING BIDDER MUST PUT $200 DOWN BY PAYPAL IMMEDIATELY AT AUCTIONS END PLEASE.   THE REMAINDER AS DECIDED BETWEEN US BUT NOT THRU PAYPAL UNLESS BUYER PAYS THE FEES.   I AM WILLING TO DELIVER UP TO 400 MILES FOR FUEL AND  COSTS.   MY TRUCK GETS 17 MPG, I USE CHEAP MOTELS.  BIKE IS SOLD AS IS WHERE IS WITH NO WARRANTIES.  IT COMES WITH A BILL OF SALE AND THE FORMER OWNERS NAME AND ADDRESS.  MAKE SURE YOU CAN TITLE IT IN YOUR STATE.  THIS IS GETTING EASIER ALL THE TIME ON THESE OLD BIKES, BUT CHECK ON IT.

EMAIL ANY AND ALL QUESTIONS!!
LOOK AT THE PICTURES, THEY SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES!
OK, LETS DO THIS - BID HIGH AND WITH RECKLESS ABANDON!!
THANK YOU AND GOOD LUCK BIDDING!!   TOM

The Diavel rocks!

Thu, 21 Jul 2011

The Diavel is my new bike of the year. Not being a huge Ducati fan, when I was thrown the keys of this monster at Silverstone on Tuesday I was expecting an ill handling, weighty beast that would run out of revs and scare me to death. Well I couldn’t have been more wrong as I had an absolute blast.

AMA Superbike Racer Larry Pegram To Race On Four Wheels This Weekend

Thu, 08 Aug 2013

Foremost Insurance/Pegram Racing SuperBike rider Larry Pegram will be back in racing action this weekend but, instead of being aboard his familiar #72 Yamaha YZF-R1 SuperBike, Larry will be behind the wheel of a PRO Buggy sponsored by RealTree Outdoor Energy Drink. The PRO Buggy class features rear-engine, rear-wheel-drive, purpose-built racing buggies with lots of suspension travel and lots of horsepower. Pegram is no stranger to car racing, having done a few road racing events last year, but he’s excited about the opportunity to kick up some mud this weekend at RedBud MX in Buchanan, MI, as part of The Off-Road Championship (TORC) series.

Motogpnews.com. A blatant but worthwhile plug

Mon, 02 Aug 2010

This story was published by our friends on motogpnews.com. It's not supposed to be serious: Fiat Yamaha application form Now you can take Rossi's space The expected departure of Vale46 ™ "Fack"© Rossi from the Fiat Yamaha team at the end of the season leaves a dwarf star sized hole in the motogp stratosphere. Popular opinion places Ben Spies firmly in the saddle of the ex-yellow liveried M1, but MGPN can exclusively revel that Yamaha big bosses are worried that Ben doesn't possess the necessary character traits to step up into the role.
