 HL500 1978 Replica

This HL500 features a custom, hand-fabricated, powder-coated frame; designed after the Pro Fab Husqvarna frame, swing arm(featuring all new needle bearing and two position shock mounts for the 16.5 Ohlin's Piggyback Shocks) and exhaust.

 

All new aluminum sprockets, handlebars, levers, cables, restored YZ forks, triple tree, hubs and mounted on TT500 replica rims and stainless steel spokes accompanied with Bridgestone Battlecross tires.

 

Engine is a TT500, upgraded Wiseco Piston kit, big valve cylinder head, with dual braided oil lines and a restored aluminum fuel tank with new petcock, fuel cap, check valve and decals.

 

Brand new round-slide TM Mikuni Carburetor with K&N air filter.

 

Has a billit-milled Megacycle Cam, enhanced performance valve spring kit, NOS valve rockers and connecting rod.

 

Frame is fitted with new number plate, side covers, front fender and rear fender; replicated after the 1978 HL500. Seat foam and seat cover are fitted to a YZ seat pan base.

The MotoGP circus moves into it's tenth appearance at the Estoril circuit, with the Portugease circuit playing host to a Grand Prix event in each of the previous nine years since the introduction of the four-stroke MotoGP formula at in 2002. Below is a reminder of the highlights of the previous nine MotoGP races held at Estoril: 2002 – Having won the last 500cc GP race at Estoril in 2001, Valentino Rossi (Honda) won the first of the MotoGP races held at the circuit. This was a race that was run in very wet conditions and Sete Gibernau had led for most of the race only to crash out with four laps to go.
