I have sold other personal vehicles before here on eBay so please check my feedback. When I say it is showroom condition, it really is showroom condition! This beauty is in absolute showroom condition with no scratches, dings or imperfections. This is as close as you can get to a new bike. It also has tons of accessories that make it unique. You will NOT be disappointed and you will save the headache and extra fees from the dealer. The bike is ready to hit the road. It has never been involved in any accidents, never been down and I have the clear VA title on hand. I just don't drive it much as you can see by the mileage. ***** SERVICE HISTORY ***** 600 miles service 1,900 miles - Oil and filter change ***** ACCESSORIES ***** Yoshimura RS-77D slip-on with carbon fiber dual outlet cone - $430 Yoshimura CNC oil filler cap and CNC timing cover - $50 K&N washable air filter - $85 Vortex braided stainless steel brake lines - $150 OEM Fly screen - $150 Evotech Radiator guard - $120 Throttlemeister throttle control - $150 CNC brake and clutch levers - $240 CNC rear spools - $30 ***** SPECIFICATIONS ***** 2013 YAMAHA FZ8 Matte Grey 2,XXX (As of August 13, 2016 it has 2,290 miles and the mileage may go up a little) Engine: 779cc liquid-cooled Inline-Four, 16-valve Bore x Stroke: 68.0 x 53.6mm Compression Ratio: 12.0:1 Fuel Delivery: Fuel-injection Clutch: Wet multi-plate, cable actuation Transmission: 6-Speed Front Suspension: Telescopic fork; adjustable compression and rebound, 5.1-in travel Rear Suspension: Single shock; adjustable preload and rebound damping, 5.1-in travel Final Drive: O-ring chain Front Brake: 310mm disc, 4-piston caliper Rear Brake: 267mm disc, 2-piston caliper Front Tire: 120/70-17 Rear Tire: 180/55-17 Curb Weight: 467 lbs. Valentino Rossi Works at the Yamaha Offices when not Winning Everything
Tue, 07 Jul 2009Yamaha Motor Europe has recently posted up on YouTube a delightful video about their riders. Their secret for being so good at what they do is that they totally immerse themselves in Yamaha by working at the Yamaha offices. Hilarity ensues. James Toseland works the mail room, while Colin Edwards does security, quoting Eric Cartman from a 10 year-old-South Park episode. Jorge Lorenzo is washing windows and Valentino Rossi is working the front desk.
The problem with electric bikes...
Mon, 11 Jun 2012This weekend sees the running of the most famous car race of them all, the Le Mans 24hrs, and to be a driver of one of the front-running cars has got to be fairly high on the list of jobs that will make ladies swoon. Speed, danger, noise, fame, physical fitness and lots and lots of money, the key elements of any top-line race series, tend to ensure that its star competitors manage to appear cool. But the latest press picture from Yamaha – publicising the firm's link with (Yamaha shareholder) Toyota's Le Mans effort – manages to strip away every last shred of of swagger from the team's drivers by plonking them on Yamaha EC-03 electric scooters.
2011 Isle of Man TT Recap
Fri, 10 Jun 2011The Isle of Man TT usually provides a lot of drama, and this year’s event was no different. John McGuinness, second on the all-time TT wins list, added two more wins to his resume to win the Joey Dunlop Trophy while MotoCzysz once again fell just short of taking the bounty for being the first electric motorcycle team to record a 100 mph lap on the Mountain Course. The 2011 Isle of Man TT also had its share of tragedy with three racing fatalities.
