2009 Yamaha Fz1 , Beautiful Bike, Only 5531 Miles. One owner, always garaged, well maintained by local shop. Never any mechanical problems. No moving accidents. Bought new in 2010, first week I owned the beast I stopped on a county highway to take it's picture and didn't remember the kickstand until it was a hair too late. That left 2 minor blemishes. Has several other very minor scuffs. Most miles on fair weather Iowa highways. Between 2k and 5K miles I had slightly stickier tires on the bike and hauled it to 2 track day weekends. The bike has way more capability than I do -- I was the slowest one on the track. So current tires are the originals with about 2.5 K on them. Only accessory added are the black tank grippers. Maybe the Evo class is the future for WSB?
Thu, 05 May 2011Did we see the future of World Superbike racing last weekend at the BSB event? Possibly, but only if everyone is on Evo spec machines in 2012. By setting the 2nd fastest lap in race one and running second for a while in race two, the brilliant Alex Lowes proved that with a good grid position an Evo spec machine can be competitive for part race distance at least.
