1989 Yamaha Fz on 2040-motos
Yamaha FZ tech info
Yamaha FZ description
This bike is a beast. Tons and power. I have not owned this bike very long. I have ridden the bike around thirty miles. It starts great, runs strong and shifts great. Its a blast to ride and is very fast. I do not see any leaking fluids dripping on floor while parked. I bought this bike to restore. It is the bike of the decade and is highly collectable and should only grow in worth over time. After riding it, I have realized that im just to old and worn out to enjoy this bike. My hands and fingers start to hurt. I was planning on getting new plastic from air tech, then paint, decals and add a new windscreen and this thing is a show piece. Tank has scratches but the good news is that it is not dented and will be easy to paint or just a good buffing. Comes with a spare motor. The owner before me bought a wrecked 1989 fxr1000 and saved the motor and a box of parts. He did install the carbs on this bike. I see the same motor on ebay with a asking price of 500. The only thing I did notice is that the speedometer is broken. the mileage is not correct. feel free to ask any questions. I don't mind helping a shipper. |

Yamaha Champions Riding School Garage Sale This Weekend
Tue, 03 Dec 2013As a former student, and later instructor, at the Yamaha Champions Riding School, it pained me to learn that the program has ceased operation. However, the school’s loss could be your gain, as Miller Motorsports Park will be holding a garage sale this weekend to move many of the assets from the school — yes, that includes motorcycles. The sale will be held this Saturday, December 7, in Team Garage 1004 at Miller Motorsports Park.
Rich Oliver’s Mystery School Still Has Open Dates
Wed, 01 Oct 2014Many roadracing champions will tell you that training in the dirt has helped them immensely in becoming the best rider they can be. The drastically reduced grip in the dirt makes a rider feel more comfortable on the street when one or both tires start slipping. At the Rich Oliver’s Mystery School, five-time 250cc champion, Rich Oliver, will teach you how to gain confidence on two wheels, all from the controls of a TTR125 Yamaha.
Donington Park and the Roman rebel.
Thu, 31 Mar 2011We know the sun always shines on the righteous and that’s exactly what happened last weekend at Donington Park. Yes its good honest people back in charge of the Derbyshire circuit so we saw summer sunshine for Friday’s free practice and also for WSB race two on Sunday. The circuit is better than ever with a new Esses section in place, and while the paddock remains unchanged, work has already started that will see gradual revamp over the year ahead.
