1993 Yamana FJ1200ABS in pristine condition. Professionally painted spring of 2016 to stock colors. Carbs rebuilt, Penske rear shock/with remote adjuster, forks rebuilt. Ultra rare fat tire/wheel 17" conversion to accept all modern rubber (only one in USA that has this conversion for ABS). Ultra rare lower half fairing professionally hand built. Hepco Becker hard bags (brand new). Pod air filters, carbs tuned to match Yoshimura exhaust. RPM handle bar risers. RPM oil cooler. MRA windscreen with Vario flip screen (brand new). This bike has never been stored out doors. All maintenance performed as required during it's lifetime to factory standards. R1 front brake conversion. Stainless steel brake & clutch lines. R1 noise, bike porn and a quick lap

Trawling the internet for a sound clip of the Crossplane Crank Yamaha R1 on full chatter, I came across this: a few fast laps on board with New Zealand Superbike racer Tony Rees as he works the CABS Throttle Blipper on his 2011 R1. (Skip to 7:35 for the fast ones.) CABS is a system used by Superbike teams that makes use of the R1’s digitally controlled throttle. When you change up a gear, the bike blips in the perfect amount of revs to save time on track and make downshifts as quick and easy as clutch-less upshifts.

US Motorcycle Thefts Down 6% in 2011

Americans reported 46,667 motorcycle thefts in 2011, a 6% decrease from 49,791 stolen motorcycles in 2010, reports the National Insurance Crime Bureau. Despite the drop in reported thefts, the non-profit organization representing nearly 1100 property and casualty insurance companies says the theft rate still averages out to one motorcycle stolen every 11 minutes in the U.S. The numbers were published in the NICB’s 2011 ForeCAST Report which examined theft reports as well as recoveries.
