Vincent All description
VERY RARE 1956 BLACK LABEL PROMO COPY "SAMPLE ALBUM FOR RADIO AND TV PROGRAM USE" JACKET HAS SOME RUBBING AND WEAR, LIGHT SOILING, ABOUT 2 INCH SPLIT SEAMS AT OPENING, EDGES RUBBED AND WORN. THE VINYL DISPLAYS HIGH LUSTER WITH VISIBLE SUPERFICIAL MARKS - MORE ON SIDE 1 (last few songs especially) THAN 2.CONSERVATIVELY GRADED VG/VG using Goldmine Standard: "VERY GOOD or VG: this record is a record that is good enough. They are not really going to look very good,. There will almost always be some surface noise when they are played. The Dynamics should still be excellent, overpowering the surface noise. A VG record will appear to have been played but still have some luster. VG covers will look worn, used. There may be some seam splitting . There will be some ring wear, where the ink has begun to wear off ." I just played it through - there are some pops and crackles, but certainly not throughout. Record is entirely listenable. Def solid VG. Some parts are a bit hissier/noisier than others. Great album. Hard to find promo! Cliff Gallup is a master. And we all know Gene just totally rocks! AS SHOWN - PLEASE SEE PHOTOS FOR CONDITION. |

Behind the “Bathing Suit” Picture
Fri, 09 Jan 2009Few motorcycle photographs are as iconic as that of the famous Bonneville “Bathing Suit Picture.” While you have undoubtedly seen this image before, you may not know the story behind it. The scantily clad and debatably crazy rider was a man by the name of Roland “Rollie” Free. The bike, often thought by many to be a Vincent Black Shadow, was in fact a Black Lightning – the fastest Vincent ever to see production.
Top 10 Album Covers featuring Motorcycles
Tue, 09 Apr 20131 of 11Next Last Motorcycles and rock ‘n’ roll. Ever since The King threw his leg over his ’56 Harley-Davidson and the Black Rebels rolled into Carbonville, the combination of motorcycles and rock have been as combustible as gas and spark. Early moto-rock lived for the most part on the fringes of pop music, in the pomped-up rockabilly of guys like Eddie Cochran and Gene Vincent.
