1973 Triumph X75 HurricaneRecent Service, Great Original Bike Showing 7450 Miles This X75 is an excellent and clean original bike. It is believed to be largely original except for a repaint, new tires, and a few other things. It was serviced this winter at Triumph expert Hugh Mackie at 6th Street Specials in New York City. He did a full tune up, including: Valve adjustment Ignition timing Primary chain adjustment Clutch adjustment Oil change/clean filters Drop sump/clean filters Remove carbs and strip completely Clean, set up, and balance carbs Change throttle cable Install new battery Check all electrics and lights New plugs and gaskets Chassis service Lube all cables and swivels, etc Check brakes Please see riding video and pictures below. The bike is equipped with a Boyer igniton, fresh tires and a fresh battery. It comes with an owner's handbook and smaller publication on the history of these bikes as well as a parts list and original sales literature. Bike has a clean and clear NJ title and is located in Ridgewood, NJ. I no longer have my shop in Brooklyn anymore as I got a new job working with cars, so I am selling off the last of the inventory and my customer would like it to find a good new home. Following the success of their first motorcycle drift video, featuring Nick Brocha on a stretched Kawasaki ZX-10R scorching rubber with Jim Guthrie on a Corvette-powered Mazda RX7, the guys set out to one-up themselves. With this video, I think it’s safe to say “Mission Accomplished.” This time around, Brocha is joined by Ernie Vigil and they’re riding modified Triumph Speed Triples.
2013 Triumph Trophy SE Recalled for Center Stand Problem
Thu, 02 Jan 2014Triumph is recalling 2013 Trophy SE models because of a risk of fracture in its center stand mount. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the left side center stand lug may fracture, reducing the amount of weight the stand can support. Triumph discovered the problem during a quality control audit.
2013 Triumph Trophy Recalled for Incorrect Tire Label
Mon, 24 Dec 2012The 2013 Triumph Trophy is being recalled because a NHTSA label listing the sport-tourer’s tire data has the wrong information. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the tire label on some Triumph Trophy models list erroneous tire and laden weight information. The labels are mandated by NHTSA and can be found affixed to the left side of the main frame headstock on the Trophy.
