Triumph Tiger description
Up for auction GYPSY ROSE See YouTube video https://youtu.be/7hlKDFk7IG0 Fresh build I recently completed.1969 Triumph Tiger engine in a vintage Climax gooseneck frame. Since completed have taken it to Beatersville and placed in the top 20 best in show and entered the Smokeout and got a top 7 pick in the Joe class. Bike was shot for the horse magazine and will be out soon. started this build with a Climax brand gooseneck frame and vintage prism tank. Sent the tank out and had it stripped and then lined with RedKote by a local radiator shop. Almost everything on this bike is new. Oil tank is a new hexagon tank from lowbrow. Engine was rebuilt by the previous owner I had all the covers chrome plated and installed the morgo 750 big bore kit and joe hunt magneto. I just sent the magneto back to hunt to have it rebuilt which cost almost $300.00 when doing the big bore I seen the bike has kibblewhite valves. Bike fires on first kick and runs strong. Brand new Amal 930 premier. Clutch does need a little adjustment but overall a great running bike. Stainless oil lines are getting replaced with clear straight lines by the time the auction ends will provide the stainless lines with the bike but I believe the return line has to many bends slowing down the return. Bike has a lot of one off machined parts on it right down to the one off acrylic velocity stack. Also the taillight is pretty trick with the axle running through the light. Taillight and tag bracket do not contact th frame. Custom candy paint by Kevin Petitt. Stainless hard brake line to the rear brake. Custom one off tag bracket and tag frame. Fender does have some paint rubbed off where chain rubbed it as well as a little spot on bottom of oil tank. Overall a great looking bike. Just like any vintage bike you have to know how to wrench on them $500.00 non refundable deposit is due at end of auction through PayPal and the remaining balance is to be paid you cash or postal money order and it has to clear my bank before pickup. Buyer is responsible for shipping and local pickup is welcome. HELMET DOES NOT GO WITH AUCTION I'm sure I left something out please feel free to ask questions 1. Climax Gooseneck frame 2. A thing of beauty?
Mon, 29 Mar 2010The weather was pretty good over the weekend and I managed to get 500 miles in and become better acquainted with the Speed Triple. I’m still running it in but as it’s reputation suggest the bike doesn’t disappoint. There are some noticeable differences over most other naked bikes I’ve ridden, you could call them quirks, but i'll talk about those in a week or so.
Triumph Motorcycles Arriving in India in November
Thu, 01 Aug 2013It’s a year behind schedule, but Triumph announced it will introduce its motorcycles to India by November. The British manufacturer had been gearing up for an Indian launch for over two years now, initially planning to enter the market in 2012. No reasons were given for the delay, and the sudden departure of Triumph Motorcycles India Managing Director Ashish Joshi didn’t help, but Triumph finally appears ready to start up operations in India.
Buddy Holly, Ariel Cyclone, 1958
Thu, 19 Apr 2012Above is some fantastic home movie footage of Buddy Holly and the Crickets messing around on motorbikes in 1958. The story behind the bikes in the video starts after Buddy Holly, Joe Mauldin and Jerry Allison came back from a successful tour in 1958, flush with cash. The trio decided to spend their rock and roll dollars on brand new motorcycles.
