Triumph THRUXTON description

For sale is a 2014 Triumph Thruxton in phantom black metallic. I purchased it new from locomotion powersports last September. I've owned the bike a year and a half now and put around 4,300 miles on it.

I've done a few things to the bike mainly for aesthetic reasons. Here's a list of what's been done:

Woodcraft clip-on bars with OEM bar end mirrors
Early thruxton top yoke(black powdercoat)
D9 gauge bracket
Black powdercoated wheels, hubs, and chain guard
BC black rear sprocket and gold DID chain
BC Predator exhaust with OEM Triumph Arrow tune
BC rear fender eliminator kit

The bike rides like new. I wanted to keep it looking and feeling OEM. It's still under factory warranty until September 2016.

Speed Triple gets new boots

Tue, 18 May 2010

Since the spark plug incident last month resulting in the premature demise of the factory fitted Metzlers, I’ve had to find some new rubber for the Speed Triple. With the Triumph’s punchy engine Commuting 1800 miles a month on motorways and city roads, I need something that will cover decent miles but also be up for some frequent country lane antics. With the BT023’s Bridgestone claim longer life with solid wet weather performance for touring riders whilst satisfying the demands of the keen sport bike riders.

Freedom Friday Photo Contest

Fri, 12 Apr 2013

Freedom Friday is a call-to-action on the AMA’s Facebook page each Friday to alert motorcyclists about issues posing threats to motorcycling freedoms. Riders can partake in a weekly contest related to these issues and win prizes. Each week’s Freedom Friday photo contest asks AMA members to send a photo of themselves, preferably with their bike, near a symbol of the current topic. The issue that kicks off today is access discrimination, which can be illustrated with a photo of a “No Motorcycles Allowed” sign, “Wilderness” sign or anything related to freedom to illustrate their concern as a motorcyclist.

Laguna Seca Added to 2014 AMA Superbike Schedule

Thu, 13 Mar 2014

AMA Superbike will be racing at Laguna Seca this year after all, with AMA Pro Racing announced the addition of the Monterey, Calif., circuit to its 2014 schedule, joining the World Superbike Championship on July 11-13. Laguna Seca was not included in AMA Pro Racing’s calendar, but its addition now increases the number of rounds in the series to six. That’s still down from the nine rounds held in 2013, but the absence of Laguna Seca and its famed Corkscrew would have been an especially tough loss.
