And there's more torque, too: 165ft-lbs to be precise - up 15 per cent on last year. Triumph also say the new bike will offer "A completely different riding experience from its predecessor." Get your credit cards out because tomorrow, January 9, 2014, will see a 1923 Indian Big Chief with Princess Sidecar owned by McQueen and fully restored by Von Dutch put on the auction block at the Bonhams Las Vegas Motorcycle Auction. Previously sold at the Steve McQueen Estate Sale in Las Vegas in 1984, the 74cu (1200cc) Indian is “capable of reaching speeds of 90mph.” If McQueen’s coolness factor isn’t enough, having the notoriety of Von Dutch’s restoration is the icing on the cake.
EICMA 2013: 2014 Triumph Thunderbird LT
Tue, 05 Nov 2013As we expected after reading California Air Resource Board documents, Triumph revealed a new LT version to its Thunderbird family, alongside the also-new Thunderbird Commander at the 2013 EICMA show in Milan. Follow the rest of our 2013 EICMA show coverage The 2014 Triumph Thunderbird LT adds a windscreen, additional lighting, removable leather saddlebags and a passenger backrest to the Thunderbird platform to provide light touring duties. The ergonomics are also different, with a new seat design that offers more lumbar support.
