1978 Triumph Bonneville on 2040-motos

1978 Triumph Bonneville 750 , 5 speed , T140V ,this is a nice original bike that has spent many years in storage, the bike is not running due to a bad piston ,the top end was taken apart the cracked piston removed and bottom end was checked and found to be fine. the top end was put back on and loosely assembled to keep all parts clean and together while the bike was waiting repairs. It sat for many years but unfortunately was never repaired. the shop closed and the bike remained in storage ,the bike is complete minus some cylinder head bolts and the cracked piston.the engine kicks over freely, The brakes work, all the gauges are nice with odometer reading 14417 miles, all the bright work is very good ,as are the seat ,tank and fenders, the frame is clean , with matching serial #s to the engine, fork tubes are nice with no pitting or wear, and no leaks from the fork seals.Tires hold air and appear in good condition seeing it was stored on the center stand. This is a bike is in need of a set of piston  and rings and is worthy of being more than a parts bike. The bike is being sold as is with no implied warranty, and comes with a clean NH title and bill of sale.
