Hi ... up for bid a decent-running Triumph T-140. I purchased this bike over the summer with plans to restore it over the winter, but due to other projects, I lost interest. The previous owner rode this bike often. I only rode it in my neighborhood a few times. The bike starts easily and doesn't smoke. The bike looks a bit better in the photos than it does in person. The tires have good tread, but have cracked sidewalls. The rubber on the foot pegs, kick start, etc. are worn and cracked. This bike is worn, but not worn out. It's perfect for restoration or a local rider. This bike comes with some new parts not installed: a set of Amal premier carbs, new throttle cable, new handle bars, replacement side covers, and a top end gasket kit. This is an oil in the frame bike. It has an old frame repair near the swing arm, as seen in one of the photos. Also, the bump stop on the frame for the triple tree has a repair. Triumph Turn Signal Recall Affects 3,799 Motorcycles in US
Mon, 01 Apr 2013A recall initially announced in Canada for turn signal stems on certain 2012-2013 Triumph motorcycles has now been announced for the U.S., affecting 3,799 units. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the recall affects the Triumph Tiger 800, Tiger 800XC, Tiger 1050, Speed Triple, Street Triple and Daytona 675, as well as their various R versions. As described in the Transport Canada recall, the supports for the front and rear turn signals may be prone to fracturing.
2013 Triumph Special Edition Bonneville and Speed Triple Announced
Fri, 01 Mar 2013Triumph has revealed Special Edition versions of the Bonneville and Speed Triple for 2013, proving once again that nothing delivers a bang for the buck like cosmetic enhancements to popular models. Most appealing to our eyes is the subtle but sexy Triumph Speed Triple SE (pictured above.) Its Matte Graphite color is beautifully set off by soft blue accents of the frame, swingarm, subframe and wheel pinstriping. Included on the SE are a color-matched fly screen, belly pan and seat cowl.
2013 Triumph Trophy SE Recalled in Canada for Potential Fuel Leak
Thu, 30 May 2013Transport Canada has announced a recall for the 2013 Triumph Trophy SE because of a potential fuel leak. As yet, no recall has been announced for the U.S., but we expect one to be announced shortly by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. According to Transport Canada, the fuel tanks on certain Trophy models may have been manufactured incorrectly and may leak fuel.
