Triumph Bonneville description

Up for auction is a 1970 Triumph Bonneville, Restored. This was a nut and bolt restoration. Everything is new or rebuilt. The motor and transmission were rebuilt, by a shop that just does British motorcycles. It has new Amal Carbs on it. Bike starts first or second kick. The paint was purchased from Don Hutchinson's shop and professionally applied. The pin striping was done by Wild Bill Betz. The nuts and bolts were cad plated. The Tires and rims are new, with new stainless spokes.  The rims were made in the UK.The frame and most of the parts have been powder coated. The gauges were rebuilt. There are only a few miles showing on the speedometer, because I had an old speedometer on the bike for the first 190 miles, while the ones were being rebuilt. The bike idles and runs great, the charging system work as it should. The bike runs,Stops and Rides with no problems. I had no trouble with the bike during the miles I have put on it. I have installed a halogen Headlight bulb and also the Pilot bulb. I have tried to describe this bike the best as I can. It is being sold as is with no guarantees  implied.Any questions please ask before bidding. Winning Bidder is responsible for paying for and making shipping arrangements. Winning bidder to pay a $500.00 deposit within72 hours of auctions end,by PayPal, Certified or Cash. Balance to be paid within 7 days of auctions end by Certified Check or Cash. Sulfur Yellow Triumph Daytona 675 Highlights New 2012 Colors

Tue, 15 May 2012

Triumph announced a number of new paint schemes for several of its models. While the new options are for the most part merely cosmetic, the lone exception is the new sulfur yellow 2012 Triumph Daytona 675. We’re not quite sure it’s good marketing for a color scheme that reminds you of the smell of rotten eggs, but the sulfur yellow Daytona 675 also sports a number of upgrades.

Bonhams To Auction Wayne Pierce Family Collection Of Motorcycles Jan. 9, 2014, In Las Vegas

Fri, 04 Oct 2013

On January 9, 2014, during the fourth annual Las Vegas Sale of motorcycles at Bally’s Hotel and Casino, Bonhams, the world’s largest auction house for cars, motorcycles and memorabilia, will be auctioning off over 50 motorcycles from the extensive Wayne Pierce family museum collection, all offered at no reserve. Among the machines is a first-year Harley-Davidson Sportster believed to be the 10th XL883 produced in 1957, a 1933 Harley VLE police bike that saw actual duty on the streets of Chicago before being cast in the 1987 Kevin Costner gangster movie, “The Untouchables,” and an authentic and unrestored 1947 Harley Knucklehead wearing period aftermarket accessories. Wayne “Pappy” Pierce started his Harley-Davidson dealership in 1957, run out of a one-room tin shed in DeKalb, Illinois.

Riding in groups

Mon, 19 Apr 2010

Saturday morning was a stonker wasn’t it? A group of us ranging from neighbours, brothers, mates and girlfriends got up and headed down to the coast for a spot of bacon and eggs. We had a real diverse selection or bikes actually with a GSX1400, XJR1300, Triumph Speedmaster, MT01, A Yamaha R1 and my Triumph Speed Triple.
