Triumph Bonneville description

The time has come to start thinning out my collection. Here is a numbers matching 1969 Triumph Bonneville 650 T120R. I bought this machine several years ago. It ran really good but has some clutch issues, was a bit crunchy going into gear. I drained the fuel and oil and parked it in my living room and it rested ever since. It comes equipped with the modern Amal premier carbs and a Boyer electronic ignition. I also have a set of the original carbs with the correct stampings. The machine is very original as you can see in the pics. I know for a fact that the seat is an older repop and the handlebars, horn and headlamp are not original. the glass on the tach is cracked and the tank has a few dings. the inside of the tank is super clean and rust free. it needs a battery, fuel and oil and I know it will fire up. these machines with original paint are getting hard to find. For what its worth from what I read the bikes without the scallops below the badges were built for the Canadian Market. Always remember, they are only original once.

The TT800 From Deus Ex Machina

Wed, 16 Jul 2014

Deus Ex Machina, the surf/moto shop known for creating throwback, one-of-a-kind motorcycles, has released its latest work of art, the TT800. Paying tribute to the highly successful Triumph factory TT machines from the mid-1960s, Deus’ expert builder, Michael Woolaway, created the TT800 for a customer requesting a new, old Triumph. It sources a Kawasaki W650 bored out to 800cc with CR carbs, a custom TT inspired exhaust, custom chromoly racing frame, re-valved Öhlins forks, and a custom gusseted swing arm for more stability. A Beringer six-piston caliper front brake provides stopping power.

Triumph Speed - A City Tool

Thu, 29 Apr 2010

The Triple and I have covered 2500 miles now and most of that has been commuting through London. Last year I was riding Kawasaki’s ZX-6R and the constant gear changing, braking and acceleration was taking its toll. After 5000 miles the Kwak was feeling loose, rough and generally hard to ride smoothly.

2012-2013 Triumph Daytona 675, Speed Triple, Street Triple, Tiger 800 Recalled in Canada

Mon, 25 Mar 2013

Transport Canada has announced a recall for the 2012 and 2013 Triumph Daytona 675, Speed Triple, Street Triple and Tiger 800 because of a flaw in their turn signals. Several members of the Motorcycle.com forum network’s TriumphRat.net community have reported issues with turn signals breaking off, and this recall appears to address the issue. According to Transport Canada, the supports for the front and rear turn signals were incorrectly manufactured and may break.
