Triumph Bonneville description

1965 Triumph T120C TT Special Restored

Older restoration, but low time, early TT special with real Dunlop K70s, correct carburetors, correct kill switch, correct tachometer and bracket, correct ET ignition, correct petcocks, correct package tray and correct aluminum fenders. Matching frame and engine numbers with VMCC certificate of authenticity. Just changed engine and transmission oils and disassembled and cleaned carburetors and petcocks. Started right up and sounds good.

Triumph produced 775 T120Cs in 1965, making the 1965 model the third-most rare of the five TT Special production years 1963-1967. The TT Special was raced with great success in the U.S., often with no alterations, and was a great wheelie machine on the street. This bike was delivered to Triumph Corporation, USA in May of 1965. Signed state title. Please do not bid if you do not intend to purchase. Videos below of it starting and running. Thank you for your interest. Arizona. 480-703 7atesix7

Motorcycle Freestyle Rider Ernie Vigil Puts Triumph’s Scrambler Through The Wringer [Video]

Wed, 21 Mar 2012

With its on/off-road tires, spoke wheels, high rise dual exhaust, protective fork gators and flat one-piece seat and handlebar, Triumph’s Scrambler evokes notions of a McQueen-esque go anywhere, do anything machine in a modern motorcycle. It’s probably safe to assume few Scrambler owners today put their retrofied rides to the test, seeing just how much abuse the 865cc parallel-Twin-powered Scrambler can take. However, in this Triumph North America video, freestyle rider Ernie Vigil (the video’s editor and co-creator) does what most Scrambler owners wish they were capable of with their new/old Trumpet.

More than 2,000 attendees visited America’s Car Museum for its 3rd annual Vintage Motorcycle Festival ‘The MEET’ last weekend in Tacoma, Washington, where over 300 motorcycles and scooters were showcased on the Haub Family Field at LeMay. The event drew pre-1981 motorcycles and scooters from the U.S. and Canada, including an antique motorcycle display, swap meet, cruise-in and a 78-mile roundtrip tour from ACM’s Anderson Plaza to Mt. Rainier.

50th Anniversary Of The Great Escape To Be Celebrated With Electric Motorcycle

Wed, 26 Jun 2013

July 4th marks the 50th anniversary of the iconic Steve McQueen film, “The Great Escape,” and to commemorate the golden anniversary of McQueen’s escape attempt from German forces during WWII, McQueen Motorcycle will unveil a special electric motorcycle, the Xscape. The Xscape is scheduled to be McQueen Motorcycle’s first production motorcycle, with cues to incorporate today’s technology and integrate “the history and design of tradition.” Details are scarce at this point, but considering McQueen rode a Triumph TR6 Trophy in the scene, it would be reasonable to expect similar styling. In fact, looking closely at the photo above will reveal wire wheels, most likely a nod to the vintage Triumph.
